A Little Green Monster

You were sitting eating at a family owned restaurant. It was you and H/N and some of your friends. The waitress came and took your drink orders. She came back with your water and his sweet tea.

"You need all the sweetness you can get." You said jokingly. He laughed. His smile was amazing and beautiful.

"What can I get you to eat." The waitress said in her southern accent.

Your friends order and now it's your turn.

"Can I have the barbecue and for my two side I'll have hush puppies and green beans."

"How old are you?" She asked. I was a little confused.

"I'm Y/A."

"You know my son is close to your age."

I felt H/N tense up a bit.

"I'll be back with your food." She said leaving with our orders.

H/N grabbed your hand from under the table and put it on top. You look at him and he acts like nothing wrong. Soon the waiter comes back with the food and sets the food in front of you. H/N wraps his arm around you.

"Is there something wrong?" You ask him.

"Nope. It's fine and dandy." Dandy? What? You don't think you've ever heard him say dandy.

"If you say so."

Everyone begins to eat. When you finish everyone goes to the front to pay. Your in line and H/N comes up beside you. You've come to the point in your relationship that you both usually pay for your own things. You walk up to the counter and hand them the receipt. As you go to get your money H/N pays for it.

"You don't have to do that." You say.

"I want to treat my girl." He says my girl a bit louder. You smile and begin to walk away.

H/N pops up again and wraps his arm around your waist and kisses your cheek. You get to his car and sit in the passenger.

"Babe?" You call.

"Yes?"

"Why were you being so weird?"

"No reason. Just saying what's mine." He grabs your hand and kisses it.

"I love you and your jealousy." You say kissing him on the cheek.

"I love you too and I wasn't jealous. Just saying what's mine."

"Whatever you say." You both laugh a bit.
