CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

BLAIRE

We all decided to take a break from the whole car ride and stop at a nearby bridge for a little bit. Dakota and Luna are taking pictures of the sunset and I am leaning on the railing, watching it pass.

Someone joins me and I turn to see Logan staring at me. Something in my stomach flips and my heart speeds up.

"Why are you looking at me when there's a beautiful sunset you can be looking at?" I ask, avoiding eye contact.

"Why should I?" he replies. "There's someone more beautiful than that sunset that is standing right in front of me."

I feel my cheeks heat up and they are probably a bright shade of red. Logan's hands grab mine slowly and felt as if an electric current had run up my arm.

"Blaire?"

"Y-yes?" I stutter.

One of his hands lifts my chin up gently so I could meet his eyes, his beautiful golden brown eyes. That hand cups my cheek as he begins to close the distance. My eyes grow wider and wider when finally, we kiss.

My eyes flutter shut and I feel his other hand wrap around my waist, pulling me close.

He pulls away slowly, looking into my eyes and I feel weightless.

I breathe out slowly and Logan smiles. I smile back. Even though no words are being said—it feels like we are saying a thousand things. Logan pulls me into a hug and we stay like that for a while. We pull away. "So what does this mean?" I whisper.

He steps a little closer. "It means I am the happiest and the luckiest guy on the planet." Logan smirks a little bit.

I blush, and Logan leans in for another kiss.

LUNA

"Wow, Luna. This sunset is—"

An earsplitting shriek hits my ears and I wince. Dakota is jumping up and down. At what, I did not know.

"I knew it, I knew it!" Dakota is chanting repeatedly.

"You knew what? Dammit Kota, you're so cryptic." I yell, frustrated.

Dakota points to the bridge overlooking the sunset. There is a couple kissing. "Aw, how cute." I said. Then I notice they are kind of getting into it, not much but enough. "Gross, Kota."

She stares at me blankly. "You are blind, Luna. You need some glasses. Do you know who those two are?"

I try to focus on the two figures. The couple pulls away and the girl is wearing a Supernatural sweate—

BLAIRE?

LOGAN?

"When did this happen? Why doesn't anyone tell me anything anymore!" I yell, exasperated.

Dakota starts laughing as they walk back towards us. "Don't say anything. Not yet." She whispers.

BLAIRE

Logan grabs my hand, squeezing it before he lets go as we approach Dakota and Luna who are oddly grinning like fools.

"Nice sunset, huh Blaire?" Dakota said, smirking.

I smile, giving Logan a small glance. "Perfect."

"C'mon let's get back on the road." Logan said and we all head back to the car.

LEVI

Something on the bed vibrates and I groan in complaint. I look for my phone blindly and the light burns my eyes when I turn it on.

DAKOTA: Looks like two certain people are on a roll. *cough* Logan *cough* Blaire *cough*

A picture message follows the text. In the picture, a couple was kissing as the sun sets on a bridge. If you looked closer, you could tell they were Logan and Blaire.

TO: DAKOTA: When? What the hell is happening in San Francisco?

After only a minute, she replies.

DAKOTA: We are not in San Fran but we are on our way back. We were trying to bail Phoenix out of jail in Michigan. The kiss just happened.

Phoenix was in jail?!

"Ashton?" I call.

He walks into the room with a tired look on his face. "What's up?"

"Did you get the text from Dakota? Oh! And did you know Phoenix was in jail?" I said, showing him my phone.

"What the—" Ashton gets cut off as his phone begins to vibrate. "I think she sent that text to everyone."

His eyes suddenly widen and he runs out of the room. I jump out of bed, following him. Worry is creeping up on me when I see Ashton frozen to the spot, looking at Parker who is staring at his phone.

"Parker,"

Parker smiles at his younger brother. "Its okay, Ash. She is happy now. That's all I want for her."

"Will you be okay?" I ask carefully.

He nods, and then walks into his room closing the door behind him quietly.
