CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
BLAIRE
I'm sitting on a park bench with Logan. Luna wanted some fresh air, and it had definitely helped my mood.
Luna and Kota were singing and dancing, and Kota saying something about taking frolicking off her bucket list.
I'm startled by the shrill ring of my phone. I jump a little, and Logan looks at me with worry. I pull it out of my pocket and glance at the ID.
Bailey. I raise my eyebrows.
"Bailey...what's wrong?" I ask. Logan looks anxious and he grabs my hand. I blush a bit. Focus, Sky.
"Phoenix, she's—"
I cut him off before he can say anything else.
"She's what?"
"In jail..."
"She's where?!" I yell into the receiver.
"She's being held at Michigan Police Department, Blaire. I'm heading over there to get her bail. Hopefully." Bailey said.
"We're heading over there." I said squeezing Logan's had a little before letting go and standing up. "Blaire, it takes at least a day and a half to get here."
"I know, don't worry. We'll be there. I can drive faster. See you, soon Bailey." I said, hanging up.
Logan looks at me. "What happened?" he asks.
I rub my hands over my face. "Phoenix managed to land herself in jail. We have to go to Michigan. Do we have everything packed?" I ask.
Logan nods and calls Luna and Kota over. The phone rings again and Bailey's ID shows again.
"What now?"
"Do you think by any chance..." he pauses.
I roll my eyes. "Spit it out, Bailey."
"Could you calm her down?"
"What do you mean?"
