CHAPTER FIFTEEN
LUNA
Blaire finds a cool, small restraint by the pier. Logan and Dakota meet us there after visiting Jon.
Jon...
I miss him. It hurts so much to know that he can't remember me.
"Smile, Luna."
That's Blaire. I look at her and give her a small smile.
I'm starting to get lost in my thoughts so I pull out my notebook from my bag and start to draw.
BLAIRE
I was rather bummed Sarah went back to Seattle, but she had some family stuff going on. I'm starting to pick at the salad I ordered, lost in thought. I never really liked salad anyways.
"Earth to Blaire?"
I look up. Logan's looking at me with his brown eyes. "Yeah?" I reply.
"You zoned-out. Just making sure you're still here." Logan said, a grin on his face. I smile a bit. "Oh yeah, did you get my last text?"
I shake my head. I didn't remember getting a text from him. "I didn't. What was it?"
Logan looks a little confused, then he pulls out his phone. His eyes widen at the screen. "You didn't get it because I sent it to the wrong person." He said. He shows me the screen.
TO: PHOENIX : Hey Blaire, Dakota and I are on our way to San Francisco. We're going to check on Jon in the hospital first. We hope Luna's okay now.
My eyes widen. Then immediately my phone buzzes in my pocket. I look down at my own phone. It's Phoenix.
Oh no.
PHOENIX
I've been staring at Blaire's contact for at least ten minutes. "Phoenix..."
Bailey comes up behind me holding Boingo: my green, radioactive plush monkey. "Remember my promise Phoenix," he said softly. I look up at him. "But you know me. I need to know what happened. I need to be there for them, Bailey." I said sincerely, looking him in the eyes.
He nods. "Call them."
The phone starts ringing.
