Kylo PoV
The hunters all gathered in my and Hux's home at noon the next day. All last night, Hux and I had laid awake planning about how we would bring this plan to life.
We had come up with something of a plan. We would send our hired tracker out to find Skywalker. They would take one of the two snipers with them as backup, and they would fly with our hired pilot. When they had found him, they would send word to Kylo, our female fighter, our other sniper, and myself. We would then follow them to Skywalker's hideout and hopefully out combined strength would be enough to finish him.
In theory, it should work, but there were no guarantees. Both of us were wound tightly and full of nervousness and anxiety.
"So, what's the plan?" The Kiffar pilot asked as he arrived last. "Are these my partners?"
"Yes. Now that you're all here, everyone, introduce yourself," I commanded.
"I'm Ta'ar, and I am a tracker who specializes in debt collection."
"I'm Qavis, and I'm the fastest pilot around here."
"We are Yur'ama and Forsythe, snipers and saboteurs."
"And I am Kira, professional killer," the young woman finished introductions.
"And we are your employers, Jacen Crise and Ben Riannan." I introduced us to our new employees. "If any of you want out, it's too late. You know too much." I smiled thinly as I watched Yur'ama shift uncomfortably.
"So what's the plan?" Qavis asked. "What do you need me for?"
"You, Ta'ar, and either Forsythe or Yur'ama are our first team. Your job is to find Skywalker based off of some of the information Ben and I have compiled." Using Skywalker's map, we had managed to narrow down planets to about a dozen possible hideouts.
"What do we do when we find him?" Ta'ar asked curiously.
"You contact Ben and I, at which point we will follow you to wherever you end up alongside Kira and whichever sniper is left behind. We'll take him down from there." So far everyone looked pretty sold aside from Qavis and Yur'ama.
"Hold on, you want us to go against the legendary Luke Skywalker?!" Yur'ama's face was a study in shock, which was odd as I had already informed him of this.
"Listen," I said, endeavoring to placate him before things got out of hand,"we have a plan for that too."
"You better spill it right now." Yur'ama looked ready to fight, and Forsythe rapidly pulled him down.
"This is for everyone." I looked around to make sure all were listening. "Once the first team has found him, orbit the planet until we come for you. Then, we will descend and drop myself, Ben, Kira, and you two snipers off on the planet. Ta'ar and Qavis will fly the starships and provide distractions for any of us to end Skywalker. All five of us can and will win. Trust me."
"Sounds actually plausible." Qavis conceded. "So which of you snipers is coming with me?"
"I'll go," Forsythe volunteered. "It'll be fun."
"Good luck," Yur'ama said,"when'll they leave?"
"Tonight." I replied. "Tonight begins the fall of Luke Skywalker and the end of the Jedi."
"Cheers to that," Kylo winked at me. He had said nothing all evening.
"If this works, we expect to be mentioned to whoever hired you to do this," Kira said. "I'm ready to carve Skywalker up." She spun the hilt of her saber around.
I watched Ren's eyes drift towards it, and I noted the look of recognition. He knew that saber. He either killed its owner or had been at one point. I filed that away for further use.
"Here's a fifty thousand credit down payment for ship maintenance, supies, etc. Anything you might need." I handed Qavis a pile of high value credits.
"Great. I'll leave tonight. Come on, team." He beckoned lazily and Forsythe and Ta'ar follows him out as he left.
"So how about us?" Monroe asked.
"Ben and I are going to help you prepare for fighting Luke Skywalker. We have fought people like him before. We know how to deal with his type."
"Good. We will at least get some preparation. Will we live here with you two?" Kira looked around the room then at me. "There aren't any beds other than yours. Although, I don't mind sharing."
"Back. Off." Kylo was behind me glaring at her. It was touching and endearing to a fault.
"I'm sorry. I'm taken." I pecked Kylo's cheek. He returned the favor, only on the lips.
"Can we get on with arrangements?" Yur'ama seemed impatient.
"Yes. Of course. You do not need to lodge with us, although we could accommodate it. Stay wherever you normally would, just be ready to answer our summons and leave the day we know." I was ready to be done.
"Fine with me. See you." Yur'ama walked out, followed by Kira.
"Bunch of crazy low lifes," Kylo muttered,"my dad hung around that type, and they were all nuts."
I half ignored Kylo as I began to think. We needed to train Yur'ama and Kira in resisting the Force, lightsaber combat, and general combat. For a good shot at Skywalker, we had to be the best.
That's what we were. We were the best. No one would dissuade us. Not Snoke, not Luke, and not the Republic. The last hope of the Resistance would die.
