(Sorry I did not post last night. I had this chapter done, then wattpad nuked me for some reason :( )

Kylo PoV

I was in a dangerous game. It was possibly the most dangerous thing I had ever done, more dangerous than when I had slaughtered the new Jedi Order to prove my allegiance to Snoke. I was playing a game against the Supreme Leader himself, and the stakes were high. I was gambling both I and my lover's lives, and my lover was doing the same thing.

If we lost, we died. To win, we had to act like nothing was happening and go on with our lives. We had to perform without flaw our duties, or we would lose in a heartbeat. It was a test of how long we could take the pressure of our relationship and our personal jobs with the imminent figure of Snoke hovering over us, waiting for our slightest misstep.

All in all, it was not exactly what you would call a peaceful time for all of us. It had been a month since Hux and I had reinitiated our relationship, and we were still going. We were both tired many times, and also stressed, but we were still going.

Today I had received word that there was a gathering of Resistance pilots on Tatooine. One of my underlings in the Knights of Ren had relayed to me this news via comlink. Now, I had the unpleasant and unenviable task of going to the Supreme Leader and asking permission to lead the team to eliminate them. I was bored of staying on Base. I did little except hone my own skills and listen to messages searching for the final piece of Skywalker's map.

I walked into the voluminous chamber where Snoke's holographic form dwelled. "Master." I bowed

"Yes?" Snoke leaned forward slightly.

"I have received intel that says that there are Resistance fighters on Tatooine. I respectfully ask your permission to wipe them out myself." I stood rigidly, waiting for a reply.

"You have my permission. Take two of your best stormtrooper squads. You can not do this alone."

"When should I leave?" I asked.

"Tonight. This should be dealt with soon, or else the pilots will leave."

"Yes, Supreme Leader." I bowed again than left to find Hux. I hoped he could go with me, although I doubted that would happen. Even if he could not, however, I wanted to tell him I was leaving.

I found him on the bridge directing various officers and checking up on reports. His face was serious, his focus concentrated on the screen in front of him as he scrolled through a report about a trooper squad assessment.

"Hux." I tapped him on the shoulder.

"Hello there, Kylo." He looked at me a little surprised and simultaneously pleased to see me. "What is the situation?" He knew I would not interrupt him without reason.

"I'm leaving tonight for Tatooine. I need two trooper squads of the best pilots you have. We are wiping out a gathering of Resistance pilots."

"Sounds fun.... If you like that sort of things. I send two squads your way. What time do you need them?"

"Tonight," I replied,"and I'm assuming you can't come with me?" I looked at him slightly hopefully.

He sighed with obvious regret. "I can't take the time to go on that mission. I'm needed here at the moment. We need to do what we are best at, and I'm better at management and you're the superior fighter and pilot. We can't go everywhere with each other, even if we both wish we could." He put his hand on my shoulder; we dared not risk anything else in public. "Good luck, and also, be careful, you're not invincible."

"I'll remember that," I replied as I held his hand tightly for a brief couple seconds then walked away to compile the data for the mission.

That evening when I was preparing to leave with my squads Hux showed up. Just as I was prepping the ship to go, I saw Hux standing there, arms crossed.

I sighed with a bit of pleasure and walked down to meet him. "Yes?"

"Wanted to say goodbye, Kylo. Don't deprive me of that." He pulled me to the back of the ship and pulled off my mask,"and don't deprive me of seeing your face. I refuse to kiss a mask." He kissed me softly. "Love you. Be careful."

"I will. Do you like the name of my starfighter?" I smirked mischievously.

"Invincible. Very funny." He started leaving and I did not stop him. I wanted to have more time, but it was not necessary. This relationship would be full of sacrifices on both our part, and that meant we might not always have the time we wanted together.

"Let's head out." I told the leaders of the squadrons. I got into my personal, customized TIE fighter, Invincible, and lifted off.

I might not be invincible, but I hoped that the love I felt for Hux was. We needed to be able to withstand anything.
