Kylo PoV
When the ship finally landed on Bespin, I was rudely awakened by Hux who seemed to think it best to shake me about the shoulders to wake me from my sleep.
"Go away!" I snapped at him, irritably. I watched him slam the door behind him and pushed my helmet back on my head. The General drove me crazy. I felt like my head would explode from dealing with him much longer.
It's all for a noble cause I reminded myself I will end the Resistance and the Jedi, and finish what my grandfather had started.
I went to open the door of the cabin. It was locked. I frowned. While an easy option would've been to just lightsaber or Force Push the door open, that also would cause damage to the ship. Also, my lightsaber was in the cockpit, apparently, as it was not on my waist.
"Hux!" I roared. "Unlock this door, right now!"
"I'm sorry, Ren. This is for your own good. I'll be negotiating here, and I have no desire to see you mess it up with your temper and lack of diplomacy. I need answers, not the administrator of Cloud City trying to kill us." The general's voice was cold and patronizing, as if he was speaking to a particularly stupid child.
"You betrayed me! On our first mission!" I shouted furiously as I slammed one hand into the door. "Open this door or I will blast it down in seconds!"
"No can do. And also, Ren, due to the fact that that door is less than three yards from the controls of the ship, I would recommend you didn't do that. If you push that door, chances are that it will end up flying into the control panel and smashing it. I don't put much faith into your ability to control." I could feel him smirking at me from the other side of the door.
"You stole my lightsaber you-"
"Now unless you want me to set the ship's life support to kill you, I'd behave or I will roast you alive or asphyxiate you in there. Good day, Ren, and once more, deepest apologies. Remember, it's for the best." He interrupted me, cutting me off mid sentence. I could feel his smugness emanating off of him. He thought he was so great.
I heard the cockpit open and the measured stride of General Hux as he descended. I sized up the door and realized that outside of using my lightsaber or the Force, neither of which would make it so I could get off the planet as well, I was trapped. The door was made to keep out vacuum should the two compartments separate. It was a lot stronger than something I could kick down.
I screamed in anger as I sat in the small room. I stood to my feet and used the Force to rip a small cabinet off of a wall and fling it across the room to hit the opposite wall. I did the same thing to two chairs sitting near the bed, one of which broke on contact with the wall.
Suddenly, it seemed as if anger had given me an epiphany. I walked over I the door and extended the Force past it. My lightsaber lay on the copilot's seat. Apparently Hux had not taken it in with him. If I could use the Force to ignite the saber against the door, I could get out. In theory, at least.
I lifted the saber and endeavored to point it at the door, but in such a way so as not to impale me on accident. I ignited it, and it stabbed through the door a foot away from my chest.
I willed it to go in a ragged circle, then when the metal fell to the ground, I carefully stepped through the newly created hole and reclaimed my saber, clipping it to my belt.
I knew where Hux was headed. He was headed to the administrative section if Cloud City. If I moved quickly I would catch up with him before he met with Lando Calrissian in Calrissian's personal quarters.
I was right. Using the Force to follow Hux, I did not waste useful time looking for him. I caught up to him just barely in time. I grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him around aggressively.
"Looking for me, General?" I snapped, grabbing him by the collar of his uniform. I drew my lightsaber with my other hand and held it up by his face. "I'd kindly ask you refrain from touching personal artifacts of mine, do you understand, you insubordinate piece of garbage?" I kept my voice cold but mimicked Hux's condescending tones.
"Unhand me, brute." To his credit, Hux kept his voice modulated with his typical cold efficiency. I could feel his anger too, however.
"Not until I get a proper apology for purloining my lightsaber and locking me in the cabin of my ship, General." I replied, anger in me as well. I looked around, we were attracting stares. I dropped Hux. "Come on. We need to get this negotiation done. But do not think I have forgotten your treachery."
"And don't think that I will forget your insubordination. I told you to remain in the ship."
"You don't command me, general." I responded. "Thus, while I may have defied you, I did not commit insubordination." I wished I could wipe his insolent smirk off of his face. "We have work to do." I walked off towards where Lando had agreed to meet us. If Hux was too angry to come, too bad for him.
