*Hey guys! For this scene, picture it like the above video! Hope you enjoy! ~Jess*
Janie's POV: Tonight's the night. The finale. I made it all the way here, the final four. I've become more comfortable being on the stage. Tonight, I plan on paying tribute to the man who made me want to do this: my dad, David Bowie. We have more time for our performances tonight instead of 90 seconds, thank goodness, because I have a lot. Space Oddity, Changes, and more, all in one performance. I'm giving it my all tonight. I've gotten together members of my school band, friends of mine who play guitar and drums, including Devan on bass, members of my school chorus, and members of my dance team. I got together with my graphic arts teacher to create backgrounds for the performance. Right at the end during "Heroes", a picture of my dad holding me as a baby will pop up faintly behind a galaxy. I have a replica of my dad's "Life on Mars" costume, along with a long orange curly wig. The best part of all, he has no idea. This is going to be a surprise to him. I can wait. I've been back and forth from chemo to rehearsal. Before I was getting weaker from it, but I've been putting it to the back of my mind and feel stronger. I'm gonna be in the hospital a lot after this though, so even if I win, I'm going to have to give up the Vegas show to the runner up, but maybe I'll do a small tour when I'm not in the hospital. Stop thinking ahead Janie, you haven't even performed yet. Gah, I'm so nervous for tonight. Dad keeps bugging me because I haven't told him what I'm performing tonight. He doesn't like it when I keep secrets from him! I was about to leave for rehearsal when he started bugging me again. "Janie, can you at least give me a hint?" He asked. I swear he's just like a child. I can see where I get it from. "I already did!" I replied. "Yeah, that your playing multiple songs, doesn't help me out much!" He said with a chuckle. "Ok, I'll give you the first letters, S, C, Z, S, R, F, F, U, L, H. Bye!" I said before running out of the hotel room. "That doesn't help me!" I heard him scream. I started laughing as I made my way to the elevator.
*Nighttime*
Janie's POV: It's almost time. I'm nervous. I'm really pushing myself tonight, especially my voice. I was backstage getting ready when Devan came up to me. He wrapped his arms around my hips. "Good luck." He said, before kissing my cheek. I finished painting on my "Aladdin Sane" lightning bolt and started warming up. After a few minutes, a stagehand came and got me. I'm the last to perform tonight, and I made sure it was that way. The lights went out and I ran onto the stage. My promo played. I basically talked about what it's been like in the competition and how much I'm pushing my limits tonight. When that was finished, a spotlight shines on my face, revealing the "Aladdin Sane" makeup. The camera did a close up on my face. The music started.

"Ground Control to Major Tom
Commencing countdown,
engines on
Check ignition
and may God's love be with you
This is Ground Control
to Major Tom
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule
if you da-aaare!"

I opened my eyes. The music changed to "Changes" and the camera backed away.

"Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
Don't want to be a richer man
Time may change me
But I can't trace time."

The music changed to "Ziggy Stardust". I crossed one leg behind the other and my arms shot out to the side. The audience cheered. I ran over to the keyboard.

"Oooh
Oh yeah!
Ziggy played guitar
Jamming good with Weird and Gilly
And the Spiders from Mars
He played it left hand
But made it too far
Became the special man
Then we were Ziggy's band"

The music quickly changed to "Suffragette City".

"Oh don't lean on me man
Cause you can't afford the ticket
I'm back on Suffragette City
Oh don't lean on me man
Cause you ain't got time to check it
You know my Suffragette City
Is outta sight...
Ohhh, Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am!
Suffragette City!"

The music changed to "Rebel Rebel". I ran to the side of the stage to a mic stand.

"You've got your mother in a whirl
She's not sure if you're a boy or a girl
Rebel Rebel, you've torn your dress
Rebel Rebel, your face is a mess
Rebel Rebel, how could they know?
Hot tramp, I love you so!"

The music changed to "Fashion" and I ran back to the middle of the stage.

"There's a brand new dance but I don't know its name
Ooooh, fashion
That people from bad homes do again and again
Ooooh, fashion
Fashion!
Turn to the left
Fashion!
Turn to the right
Oooh, fashion!"

I started strutting across the stage.

"We are the goon squad and we're coming to town
Beep-beep!"

The music changed to "Fame". Two members of my dance team held a rope in front of me and I did a "Michael Jackson slide" down it. Two more wrapped it around me. I started swaying my hips side to side.

"Fame, makes a man take things over
Fame, lets him loose, hard to swallow
Fame, puts you there where things are hollow
Fame
Is it any wonder I reject you first?
Fame, fame, fame, fame"

The bass lick to "Under Pressure" started playing. I jumped up and down the whole time, and the music went into "Let's dance".

"Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
Let's dance
To the song they're playing on the radio
If you say run, I'll run with you
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall, into my arms
And tremble like a floooower."

I walked to the back of the stage and motioned my hands as if commanding the band to get louder. Then I brought them down in a slicing motion, and the music changed to "Heroes". Here we go, the final stretch. The lights went dark, only a few colored spotlights on us. I walked up a little to where Devan and the guitarist were.

"I, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing, will drive them away
We can beat them, just for one day
We can be heroes, just for one day
We can be heroes, just for one daaaaaaaaay!"

This is it. I quickly spun around. The image of dad holding me as a baby faintly appeared behind the galaxy in the background.

"We can be Heroes!
We can be Heroes!
We can be Heroes!
We can be Heroes!
We can be Heroes!
We can be Heroes!
Just for one daaay!"

I pointed to my dad.

"You and me! Be heroes yeeaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

I did one final spin.

"Oh!"

I finished looking up. I caught my breath. The lights came back on and everyone was standing up and cheering, including the judges. I gave Devan a hug before everyone walked off stage. "Janie Bowie ladies and gentlemen!" Nick said as he walked out. I was smiling as I caught my breath. I kept looking at my dad. I could see him crying. "Janie Bowie. You said you wouldn't disappoint, and you didn't. You went out with a bang. Fantastic job." Howard said. "Thank you." I said. "Janie, I think this was your best performance here. You brought together everything you showed us this season and showed us what you can do. I knew you'd make it here, and your spot here is well deserved." Heidi said. I smiled. "I never know what to say with you!" Mel said. I laughed. "You just blow me away every time, amazing." "Thank you." I said. "Janie, you came into this competition a shy girl, not confident in her own abilities. Now, you're leaving a confident girl with a powerful voice. You've left your mark here." Howie said. I smiled. "Janie, what do you have to say?" Nick asked me. "This was just an amazing experience for me. Even if I don't win, I can say I was in the final four for 'America's Got Talent'. I have to thank everyone who voted for getting me here. Obviously, this was a tribute to my dad, and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't even be alive right now. Thank you all so much." I said as I looked at my dad. Nick gave all the information to vote and I walked offstage. I walked out to the lobby and saw my dad still tearing up. I walked up and hugged him. He held my tightly. "I love you honey." He said. "Love you too daddy." I replied. We pulled away. He wiped away the tears and sniffled. "Now I see why you didn't tell me!" He said with a chuckle. We all chuckled. "Obviously." I said. We left RCMH and went back to the hotel. Tomorrow's the results. Will I win? We'll just have to wait and see...
