Janie's POV: November's here, I'm back out on the road. I've been meeting a lot of my fans, and hearing some incredible stories. I've saved some from suicide, I've helped some beat cancer, a few people even got tattoos of my lyrics. It's just amazing. I never thought I could do something like this. I honestly don't deserve this! I thought I would fade away after a year like most AGT winners do! I can't even explain how grateful I am for everyone. I was in my hotel room when there was a knock at the door. I opened it, and my look of happiness turned to a look of anger. Claudia, the girl who beat me up all those years, was standing right in front of me. "What do you want?" I asked. "Hey. I just wanted to apologize for everything I did. I was hoping that we could be friends?" She said. "So, your apologizing now? Why didn't you do this before? You know, before I became famous?" I asked. "Well, I just wasn't—" "You don't care, you never did. You're just here because I'm famous now, and you want to be apart of it." I cut her off. "Janie, let me explain." She said. "Not needed. You tortured me all those years, almost made me kill my self, and now you apologize, just to get some of my fame?! Newsflash bitch, it ain't happening!" I yelled. Suddenly, she punched me in my left eye. I flew backwards. "You little bitch!" I screamed. My mom quickly grabbed me and held me back. "Get the fuck out of here! Don't get anywhere near my daughter again!" My dad yelled as Claudia ran away. He closed the door and mom let me go. I was still covering my eye. "Ouch. Fucking hell." I whispered. "Let me see." Dad said. I slowly uncovered my eye. He had a look of worry on his face. "C'mon, we're going to the hospital." He said as he drug me out of the room. "What? No! My eye's not bleeding, I'm fine!" I said, confused. "Janie," He pointed to his eye, "this was from a punch, and I almost lost my eye. I don't want that happening to you." He said. I froze. We ran out to the car and drove to the hospital. I looked in the mirror on the way. My left iris is gray! It's not turquoise anymore! It's fucking gray! We got to the hospital and the doctor called us in. He checked out my eye. "Well, it looks like everything's fine. Just her iris changed. She won't need any further treatment." The doctor said. "Wait, so my eye is gonna be gray forever?!" I said. "I'm afraid so." She said. We left and drove to the arena for my concert tonight. I was getting ready, and just kept staring at my eye. "Why did this happen? I'm known for my piercing turquoise eyes! Now one of them's fucking gray!" I said. "Janie, you still look gorgeous." Dad said. "I don't know. This fucking blows. Could this day get any worse?" I said. Dad didn't respond. I finished getting ready and walked out to the stage. After the first two songs, I started my usual rant. "My fucking eye's gray." I started out. "Look at this shit!" I said. I pointed to it and got close to one of the cameras. "The bitch who bullied me showed up earlier and fucking punched me!" I said.

*Later that night*
Janie's POV: I got back to the hotel and got ready for bed. This day was pretty shitty. It can't get worse though, can it? "Hey Jan, can I talk to you?" Dad asked. "Yeah, sure, what's up?" I said. He sat down next to me on the bed. "Um, I just got a call from the doctor." He said, quietly. "What's wrong?" I asked. He let out a sigh. He grabbed my hand. This day's about to get worse. "Janie, my cancer's back. And he said it's terminal." He quietly said as he looked me in the eyes. I could see the pain in his. The life just drained out of me. "No." I said. Dad held his tears back. This can't be real. My dad can't be dying. I started crying. Please let this be a bad dream. Please...
