Janie's POV: Tonight's the night. The final results will be announced. I might end up winning, and I'm nervous. The finalists get to perform a duet with a celebrity of their choosing, I obviously chose my dad. We're singing "Under Pressure", and I'm excited. We've been practicing a lot for it.

David's POV: I've never seen Janie so nervous before. She's been pacing back and forth like crazy. I keep trying to calm her down but it's not helping. My fingers are crossed.

*Nighttime*
Janie's POV: My dad and I kept warming up. We're second to perform tonight. A stagehand got us and took us to the stage. Nick introduced us and the audience cheered. The bass lick began playing."Um ba ba be
Um ba ba be
Um ba ba ba baby"
We both walked forward and started singing. The lights came on."Pressure pushing down on me
Pressing down on you, no man ask for
Under pressure that burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets"

*Later*
Janie's POV: I had an amazing time singing that duet with my father. He kept hugging me afterwards. "Now I know you weren't switched at birth you goober." He said. I play hit his arm and we both laughed. The other finalists and myself were called out to the stage for the first result. I waited nervously as Nick announced the 4th place act. It wasn't me. It makes me a little more nervous. I watched the 3rd place act leave about 10 minutes later. It was between me and Taylor Williamson. I was nervous. I felt like I was gonna be 2nd. They played montages of both of us from the audition up until today. I reared up during mine. I've come so far. Maybe it's the cancer that's made me more mature, maybe it's being on stage. Whatever it is, I'm proud of myself, whether I win or not. "Here we go. The winner of America's Got Talent Season 8, and the winner of that million dollars and headline show in Las Vegas is..." Nick said. There was a long pause. I was shaking. I stared at the ground, biting my lip. The audience had mixed reactions. Half were chanting for Taylor, the other half for me. I took deep breaths. I heard Nick open the envelope. He waited a few seconds, then, "Janie Bowie!" He announced. I crouched down and started crying. The audience was on their feet. Confetti shot out everywhere. I can't believe it. I just won America's Got Talent. I defied all odds. I am worth it. I do have something to give. "Janie Bowie, how are you feeling?!" Nick asked. "I can't believe it. Thank you so much to everyone who's supported me this whole competition. I—." I choked out. I couldn't stop crying. The other acts and their families came out to congratulate me. When I saw my family, I couldn't contain myself. I hugged them, tightly. My dad and I were sobbing like babies. "Janie, this is well deserved. We've watched you grow this competition. I wish you the best." Howard said. After the show ended, we went right back to the hotel. Well, I've got a "Good Morning America" interview in the morning. But what am I gonna do with the live show?...
