Janie's POV: It's August now. My health's been improving. I've gained some weight back, the cutting stopped again, and my attitude's overall improving. I've been out of the hospital and back home a lot. I have a bunch of songs written for my new album, but I still can't write that one big hit. I'm stuck.

David's POV: I stood at the bottom of the stairs, debating about what to do. "David, you're going to have to tell her eventually." Iman said. "I know. She's just been so happy lately. I don't want to crush her." I said. Iman rubbed my back before walking away. I have to tell her. I slowly walked up the stairs.

Janie's POV: I was laying in bed thinking when there was a knock at the door. "Come in." I said. My dad walked in. "Hello." My dad said, emphasizing the o. I chuckled. "What brings you up here?" I asked. "I really need to talk to you about something." He said. I sat up and he sat down next to me. "Janie, I have some bad news." He said. My smile slowly faded. "What's wrong?" I asked. He was staring at the floor. He let out a sigh. "I'm just gonna come right out and say it." He said as he grabbed my hand. He looked up at me. "I have liver cancer Janie." He said. My heart froze. I shook me head. "No. No. You're lying. You can't be sick. Not you!" I choked out. "I'm sorry to break your heart honey." He said. I threw myself into his chest and started sobbing. The one thing that kept me going, is now sick himself. He held me tightly. "It's ok. We're gonna get through this together." He said. I pulled away and he kissed my forehead. "You know I love you right?" He asked. I nodded. "I'll leave you alone now." He said before walking out. As soon as he left, I fell back into the bed and started sobbing like a baby. After about 30 minutes, I stopped. Then it hit me. "I've got it." I said. I dashed across the room and grabbed my notebook. I started jotting down some lyrics for the big hit of the album, "Hello"...
