*Melanie's POV*
I couldn't believe my eyes. People held papers with pictures, laughing and whistling as I walked by. On the school cork board, multiple sheets of paper with pictures the stalker took were hung everywhere.
Me sleeping, me getting dressed, and even me kissing Jace were now exposed to the whole school, and possibly the whole campus.
"Oh my god!" Kamri shouted over everyone.
"Melanie?" Jace looked into my eyes, trying to get my attention. But I just stood there like a statue, my eyes cold and my face pale.
"Mel!" Kamri and Jace both shouted.
The sound of my heartbeat rang through my ears, and everything seemed as if it were slow motion. Slowly I shook my head, "no," I said.
"What?" Kamri asked me, looking worried. Both of them lightly tugged on my arms, trying to get me out of here.
"No," I repeated. I began saying over and over again.
"She's going to pass out, look at her!" Jace yelled, panicking. He was about to pick me up, but blackness consumed me.

I woke up to flashing lights and loud siren noises. That's when I realized I was in an ambulance.
"Jace?" My voice squeaked. He jumped out of his seat and knelt next to me, trying to keep balance.
"Melanie! Are you okay?" His words came out quickly.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Maybe I wasn't fine. Maybe I was. I don't even know.
He pressed his lips on mine, and the ambulance came to a stop. My lips moved against his, but he pulled away when the back door of the ambulance opened.
Later, I got settled into a room and hooked up to IV's.
"They found someone," Jace said, earning my interest.
"What?" I said confusedly.
"A couple officers were hiding out at the old dorm when someone picked the lock and walked in." I felt fear rush through my body.
My head nodded, and he continued, "They took him in, but later they found someone trying to get in our new dorm. Took them in too."
"Who was it?" I asked.
Jace shrugged, "They didn't know yet."
"Where's Kamri?"
"Her and Bree where helping take down papers. They'll be here soon." His hand reached over and played with my messed up hair, tucking it behind my ears, and twisting his finger in it.
Then his eyes started to water, and he hesitated, "but your brother is on his way."
My mouth opened but no words could escape. I had to leave without graduating, and would be taken away from Kamri, Bree, and Jace. They all helped me pull through in different little ways.
Water filled my eyes and a few silent tears fell.
Jace looked at me with sorry eyes, "what's wrong, Mel? Tell me what's on your mind." His lip ring flickered as his tongue played with it.
"I don't want to leave, I want to stay with you, and Kamri, and Bree," I sniffled a bit.
Slowly, he leaned in, connecting our lips together for what may be the last time. I reached up to his face and cupped his cheek, as he did with mine. Jace deepened the kiss, making me want more. But a knock on the door had him pull away, leaving me to hang there breathless.
