*Melanie's POV:*
I furiously packed stuff into my suit cases, tears running down my eyes. My eyes were blurry from watering, so I sat on my bed, hanging my head down.
Daniel was in the living room waiting for me to finish packing. So I need to think of a plan quickly. The door opening broke my thoughts.
It was Jace who walked in, and he closed the door behind him, locking it too.
"Daniel's in the bathroom," he sighed, " I can't believe he's taking you."
Without saying a word, I grabbed Jace's face and leaned in, kissing him. He embraced my face back, moving his lips in sync with mine. Two hands were placed on my hips, scooting me onto his lap, straddling him.
"I can't take it," Jace whispered, his warm breath against my ear. He placed small kisses on my ear, and traveled down my jaw until he reached my neck where he kept kissing.
For a second, I held my breath, then put my head back.
From the living room, I could hear Daniel call out quietly for us.
"We have to go... Da.. Daniel's waiting.." I stuttered a whisper.
But Jace ignored my words and kept kissing. He found my sweet spot, making me bite my lip.
Daniel walked over to the door and tried opening it, but when he came to realize it was locked, he began pounding on the door.
I pulled away from Jace and threw him some clothes and he began folding. Then I unlocked the door and Daniel barged in. He calmed down a little bit as he saw Jace helping me.
"Now listen, pal. You stay away from my sister! I don't want to see you touching her again!" Daniel yelled at Jace, pointing his finger and poking him with it. Jace stood there like a punching bag, knowing it would be worse if he did something.
I stepped in between them, "Daniel stop."
"Sis move," Daniel said.
"No! Daniel stop!" My voice raised, making him stop and take a step back.
"Daniel don't you see? You want me to be happy, but look what you're doing!" My heart raced and my breathing was fast.
"I'm old enough to make my own decisions, now let me do it."
Daniel stood there, taking it all in. But a few minutes later, he spoke. What he said surprised me.
"You know what? You're right. I need to lay off a bit," he sighed.
"Are you serious?" I looked at him confusedly.
He gulped as if it hurt, and nodded.
Jace looked at him deeply, "Are you really ok with this?" He asked.
"Just deal with it before I change my mind," Daniel snapped.
I ran over to him and gave him a big hug, "Daniel you have no idea what this means to us."
He let go of our hug, "If you dare hurt her, you're a dead man," my brother's eyes pierced into Jace's gorgeous blue eyes.
"I promise you Daniel, I love your sister, I wouldn't hurt her."
Slowly, I turned around to face the boy talking. He said he loved me, I heard it with my own ears. I'm either imagining things, or the bad boy fell in love. But why me? Of course I'm happy and I won't complain, but I never thought I'd have someone like the ladies man Jace Parker in love with me.
Do I love him back? Of course I do! The Greek God of a man he is had me majorly crushing on him since day one. But Jace has almost every girl swooning on him, and attached to him. I've seen him change, and I've seen him brush them off.
Daniel began to walk out, but he stopped in his tracks, "one more thing," he began, "you're moving into an apartment close to the campus."
Well at least I can still go to school, and see Jace there hopefully. He'll probably forget about me and sleep around with girls again. He probably has been sleeping with them anyway.
"Oh and also," Daniel started up again, "You can pick one friend that's a girl to live with you. My friend Nick will be your guard."
I closed my eyes, taking all of his words in.
My brother is separating me from the bad boy.
