Melanie's POV:
About five years later
I sat there in my new office, concentrating on my foot, that controlled the pedal, working the sewing machine. My new job in designing clothes made me so happy. Each day I get to spend hours doing what I love, in a fashionable office of course. Right next to me on the hard, wooden table, my phone began to buzz. When I saw who was calling, I made no hesitations to answer, taking a break from my sewing.
"Hello," I couldn't help but to smile.
"Hey babe," the manly voice said from the other end, "almost ready?"
"Yeah, just have to finish stitching one more thing then I'll be over."
"Okay, I'll let you get back to that. Love you, bye."
I smiled again, "I love you too, goodbye."
Before I started sewing again, the sun shining through the window reflected off of my shiny engagement ring, making me admire it in awe. But a knock on the door broke me from my thoughts. "Come in!"
"Ms. Adamski- or should I say Mrs. Parker," my work friend Vanessa smiled at me, "I know you have to leave soon, I can take care of that for you."
So I let Vanessa take over, and I got into the hot car, my skin nearly melting to the seat. A few minutes later, I arrived at the park, where multiple kids ran around, their parents chasing after them.
"Hey honey," a smile spread across my face when I approached my fiance, receiving a quick kiss from him. His blue eyes looked into my eyes, just like they did for the first time, many years ago. I could not believe it, I was going to be marrying Jace Parker soon. Mrs and Mr Parker walked up to us, smiling as well.
"Glad you could make it," Justine said, "Because this is a family reunion, and you're definitely a part of the family!"
After exchanging a few more words with Mrs and Mr Parker, we walked over to a picnic table where an eight month pregnant Jessica sat, sipping on a water, and dabbing the sweat off of her forehead. Even in her pregnant stage, she still was gorgeous. Her skin glimmered and her eyes sparkled. "Brian, can you grab Leo? He's running off again," she pointed to her three year old son, then her husband took off after him.
As we talked with Jessica, Justine walked over, handing Jessica's one year old daughter to her. "This is Autumn."
Looking at Jessica and Brian's beautiful children, it made me think of how much I wanted a child of my own. Of course, Jace and I have talked about it before, but now, life is moving faster.
Justine's POV
Raising Jace, I've seen his ups, and I've seen his downs. He was a good boy in elementary school. His grades never dropped lower than a B-, and he made us so proud. But one day it seemed as though he changed completely. When he was home, he was always up in his room, doing who knows what. Then, when he was supposed to be at school, he'd skip. I would never forget the day I got his high school report card in the mail. Every single class he was failing, so he dropped out of school. It really hurt to see your own child fail in something they cared so deeply about a few years before.
I think what really bothered him is his sisters' succession. He felt as though he was failing, because his sister had achieved more than he did. My own son started experimenting with alcohol, and girls.
But the family forced Jace to go to college, after we made him take some online high school classes. Since then, he's changed significantly.

Jace's POV
Later, Melanie and I went back to our condo. The moonlight was shining from the window, reflecting off of her beautiful eyes. "I love you," I rested my forehead against hers. She smiled back at me, making my stomach flutter like a child. "I love you too," she made me weak. I was completely in love with her. I knew there was something about her since I saw her standing at the door to our dorm, looking at me like I was total man candy. Growing up, I had it hard, and Mel made me forget about everything. When I am with her, she is what I focus on. I am a completely changed man, and it's all because of her. She's my angel, and my fiance. We'll start a family together, to add on to the growing one we already have. Maybe I sound cheesy, but I don't care. I'm in love.
