Melanie's POV;

   In a few days, Jace and I were ready to go back home. Justine was doing better, although she's still hospitalized. I can't imagine being in her shoes. But somehow she manages to make us all smile and laugh, even though she's got a battle, that's not stopping her. It would be nice to have her strength and confidence.

   On the plane, we slept mostly. But once our ears started popping from the plane landing, Jace and I woke up. Since I'm back home now, I have to do actual work around the dorm, and get back into the swing of things with Caleb. The hardest thing about being back is that Jace won't always be with me, especially if Caleb is around. He wouldn't let Jace step one foot in front of me. I can understand why Caleb would have hate towards Jace, but why that much?

   Jace walked me to my dorm room's door. "Thanks for going with me, ma appreciated it too," he smiled, giving me a hug. I nodded, and he walked back to his dorm. I fiddled with the key until the door became unlocked. By the door, shoes were scattered all over. High-heels that I've never seen before, and Caleb's sneakers. My heart slowly dropped as clothes were strewn in the living room and leading to the bedroom. Faint moaning and groaning noises came from the bedroom, so I quickly opened the door to reveal Caleb and a blonde having sex on the bottom bunk. All I could do was scream. They got off each other and searched for clothes.

   "Melanie! It's not what it looks like!" He said.

   "Get the fuck out!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. With tears streaming down my face, I grabbed a pillow and whacked Caleb with it, forcing them into the hall, and out of the dorm with no clothes on.  With rage, I grabbed the strewn clothes and shoes, then threw them out at them. Behind me, I locked the door, sliding down against it, crying.

   In my pocket, I found my phone and texted Jace.

   Me: Please come over

   Within minutes, he replied.

   Jace: On my way.

   Soon, there was a knock on the door, so I unlocked it. Jace stood there with concerned eyes as he looked me up and down. Mascara was smeared around my eyes, making my tears black. Without any words, I fell into his arms, using his shoulder to cry on. His comforting hands rubbed my back as he whispered in my ear, telling me he's here and that it's ok. Next thing I knew, I was being scooped up into his arms, bridal style. Jace carried me over to the couch and softly set me down, getting me a blanket and a box of tissues.

   "Caleb?" His soft, quiet voice asked.

   I sniffled, "yeah."

   He nodded in return, wrapping me into his arms, slowly rocking back and forth. A small kiss was placed on my forehead, leaving tingles.

   "You know Mel," Jace began, "I love you. I won't hurt you. But I will hurt the ones who do."
