For The Road

Chapter 9

"Your dismissed to lunch," our teacher says. I get up and walk out of the classroom, I spot April and a new friend.

"Hey," I said walking to her.

"Hey girl!," she said hugging me.

"This is my friend Daisy," she said. I waved to her and introduced myself to her.

"Rosalyn!!,"Cassidy yells. I turn and around tell them bye and walk to Cassidy.

"Hey," I said.

"Have you talked to Jaii?,"

"No why?," I asked her sitting at the table.

"Just wondering if yall going to get back together," she asked.

"Hey babe,"Jackson said sitting next to her. If Jackson here then that only means one thing.

"Wassup," Jaii said getting comfortable. 

"Hi," I said, I messed with my salad. I tried to avoid talking to Jaii and listen to Cassidy or look around. He wrapped  his arm around me again and pulled me into him. "Jaii please," I move his arms from around me.

"What?,"

"You serious right now? Im leaving yall have fun," I got up and Cassidy looked at me.

"Where you going?," I searched around and I saw Daunte and his friends.

"Bye,"

"Don't leave please stay," Cassidy says. I roll my eyes and sit back down and play with my food.I looked at Cassidy and she would look at Jaii and admire him from here and there. They returned smiles and glances she giggled. Wow....this is ....

"Yeah Im gone," I get up once more.

"Stay," Jaii says. I ignore him and look for my bag, its on the other side of him. I reached for my bag over him and walk to Daunte. I tapped his shoulder and he looked at me and smiled.

"Hey,"

"Wassup," he said hugging me . I sat next to him and his friends were funny as hell.

"This nigga right here wont shut the hell up about you!,"his friend said. I looked at Daunte in a surprised look.

"Really?,"

"Yes like damn shut up! Thought I was gon have to kill him!," I started laughing so hard. Throughout the whole lunch they had me laughing so hard, they are so nice too. "Alright yall I 'll see yall later," his friend say. I waved him goodbye and we walked to class.

"So you were talking bout me a lot?," I asked him.

"Yeah who wouldn't," I blushed. "But why were you ignoring me this past few weeks?,"

"Well remember you said we was going to talk at lunch, so I was kind of happy then when I saw you all up on another girl I got kind of jealous. But I couldn't really get and because we weren't a couple," I said. "But don't start jumping to conclusions,"

"You were jealous?," he asked.

"Yeah kind of, "

"Wait wait you were jealous?,"

"Yes DAMN!,"I yelled. He chuckled then looked down on me. "Now you know," he nodded. "My turn to ask questions,"

"RING!," the bell rang. Damn! He grabbed my hand and led me to his car.

"You gonna listen to my question?," I asked him.

"Yeah go ahead," we sat on top of his car.

"Do you know who the girl that he left with at that party?," I asked.

"Yeah," I looked at him waiting for answer. "Coming up after the break!," he said. I punched his arm and laughed.

"Im serious Daunte!,"I whined.

"Okay it was ya girl,"

"April?,"

"Nahh,"

"Not Cassidy that's my bestfriend," I said. He nodded to my words.

"It was her I swear," I started crying, and crying. I thought I could trust her, believe in her. I told her everything, I mean everything. Time for some damn payback.
