Chapter 14

"Rosalyn my baby!," my mother yells. I smile and let go of Daunte's hand and I hug her.

"Hey mom wheres grandma?,"

"Over there," she points to her in her wheelchair.

"Mom meet Daunte," I say bring him over to my mother. I let them talk and what not then my father budded in.

"I'll be right back," I whisper to him and I walk to my grandmother. "Hey Granny," I said smiling.

"Hey baby give me some suga," she says. I hug her and kiss her cheek. "How are you?,"

"Im good, I got my own place," I said.

"You did that's good, you've been keeping up with rent?,"

"Yes,"

"Granny come on we have to take your medicine, " my cousin yells.

"I'll be right back," she says. I nod and walk back over to Daunte but stopped by my favorite cousin.

"Kelvin!," I hug him and he picks me up.

"Hey Rosalyn how you been?,"

"Good really good, you?,"

"Good meet Justine," he says dragging me to her. She has a baby hump, shes is really pretty. That baby is going to be gorgeous.

"Hi Im Rosalyn," I say introducing myself.

"Hi Im Justine nice to meet you finally," she says looking at Kelvin.

"How many months,"

"What you mean?,"

"Oh my gosh Im so sorry," I say. She starts dying laughing, and holding onto the table.

"Im just playing with you, Im 7 months," she says.

"Oh, you scared me, hey Justine I'll be back," I say. She nods and I walk to Daunte and I hold his hand. We walk to a table and sit down, I play with his hands.

"Wheres Marlon Rosalyn?," he asks.

"Your still hung up on that, Daunte hes my older brother,"

"I want to see him," I roll my eyes.

"You like them?,"

"Man they love me," he says all cocky.

"I bet," I said smiling.

"Cassidy!," my mother yells.

"Here we go," I say.

"She cant take a hint," Daunte says. "Be nice," he whispers into my ear.

"I'll try," I say. I get up and walk over to them .

"WHy didn't yall come together?," my mother asks.

"We have a few issues, but they are all resolved," Cassidy says. "Mrs. James meet Rick," she says.

"Oh!Hi," she says shaking his hand.

"Rosalyn meet Rick my boyfriend," I roll my eyes.

"Cassidy can we talk over here,"

"Sure," we walk to a bench and sit down and talk.

"Why the hell did you come! This is a family reuniom, HINT FAMILY!,"I raise my boyfriend. "PLUS YOU BROUGHT YOUR BOY TOY!" I raise my voice again.

"You want to play games we can play games, I saw you kiss Jaii, and I have proof. I didn't want to do this, but your taking it to the next level. Grow up Rosalyn," she says calmly pulling out a cigarette.

"Cassidy your a fucking bitch why would you do this to me?," I ask.

"You brought it here," she says.

"Why did you even come? If you hate me so damn much why are you here!," I yell and Daunte and Rick looks our way.

"To shit on your whole life," I want to slap her but we are in public and at my family reunion. "Now anything else, "she blows smoke in my face. Im done. I smack the shit out of her to the point where my hand print is on her face. She hits me and I punch her and there's a brawl. I feel Daunte's hand wrap around me pulling me away. Cassidy is on the ground shaking, fixing her hair. I start crying.

"YOU BITCH!,"I yell screaming. Daunte puts me down and tell me to calm down. If Daunte wasn't here I would've been in jail, for killing this bitch.

"Baby calm down shes not worth it," he says rubbing my arms. I breath heavily andtry to calm down. I see Kelvin and my parents running over here.

"What happened?," my dad asks. I look at Cassidy and she looks at me in disguist and I walk away shaking my head. I walk to my car real quick and get her diary and hand it to her.

"What are you doing Rosalyn?," my mother asks.

"Getting rid of those memories, "I had her all of our pictures and what not. "Have fu nwith your life," I say to her and walk away. I walk back to the party and my little cousins run to me.

"Are you okay Rosi!," she says.

"Leave my big cousin alone," they all say. I laugh and walk to my car.

"Babe what the hell?," Daunte asks. I just break down for some reason.

"Im sorry Daunte, I fucked up really bad. I cant lie to you or keep secrets, relationships need honesty right?," I ask.

"Where are you going with this," he asks. I get interrupted once more by DAMN CASSIDY!

"YOUR GIRL IS NOT SO FAITHFUL!," She says trying to run over her.

"What is she talking about?," he asks me.

"Look at this," she says putting the phone in his face. Theres a picture of Jaii and I kissing that night. I start walking to the driver's side and wanting to flee away.

"I don't care, I know that's an accident and it was a really really bad mistake," he says. I look up at him and smile. "And I love this woman," he says.

"No no you don't Daunte she cheated!,"

"Maybe I did too that night, we make mistakes and we have to forgive," he says. " I will always love and forgive her," he says wrapping his arm around me. I blush and turn around and look him in the face.

"I love you too," I kiss him, pecking into real kiss. This kiss wasn't like any other, this was real.

"I love you," he whispered.
