For The Road

Chapter 35

"Layah!," I said tickling her. She squirmed and started to smile. " You stinky," I picked her up, to smell her. I grab her diaper and some wipes. 

"Babe you home?," Tyler says walking in the house.

"Yeah Im upstairs," Angus ran to Tyler and licked him.

"Hey Angus," he says petting him. I put left Layah in her diaper and got her water ready. "Hey," he said kissing me.

"Hey, "

"Your about to give her a bath?," he played with her and of course she went crazy.

"Yeah,"

"I can do it, you need a break," he said.

"I got it," I said.

"Rosalyn," I raise my hands in surrender and walk downstairs with Angus. 

"RING RING!," His phone started ringing. Nope not going to snoop, it wont shut up. Whoever it is, they are demanding to call him. I looked at the caller ID, Natasha?  Who is Natasha? "Ding!,"

Natasha: come over,im lonely ;)

Natasha: hurry, I got something for u

I hear Tyler coming down the stairs, he grabs his phone. He replies to the text, and smiles.

"Who is it?," I ask him.

"Who is what?," he locks his phone.

"Who are you texting?,"

"Nobody, its just my cousin from New York," I nod. I watch TV and flip through the channel, and I hear Layah crying. I walk upstairs and feed layah. I walk around he room until she falls asleep, that doesn't work.

"Babe can you come help me real quick?," I ask him. No response. "Babe?," Nothing. I walk downstairs and he is gone, his car is gone. He left. I shook my head and put Layah's head on my shoulder and rocked her to sleep. I cant believe he left, no "baby Im leaving," if he goes to that Natasha chick. This wedding is over.

"DING DONG!," I get up with Layah in my arms and answer the door. 

"May I help you?," a girl around my age is standing at the door smiling.

"Is Tyler here?,"

"No but I can leave a message,"

"Okay sure," she writes down something on the note. "Thank you,"

"May I ask what your name is?,"

"Natasha," she says smiling.

"Okay thank you bye," I close the door on her face. I set Layah on her back and she is sound asleep. 

Tyler

remember in new York at the club, lets remake that night. Come back out Im leaving tonight. Come to the same hotel like last week.

Hell no. Speaking of Tyler he walks inside the house. I sit there and bit my nails, he walks to give me a kiss. I swerve my head and I grab Layah and walk upstairs.  I get Layah dressed and put her in comfortable clothes.

 "What your problem?," he asks.

"You know I never asked about your cousin's in New York, what are they like?," I ask him.

"You know just like Greg,"

"Oh okay what about you at the club with Natasha,"

"You read my texts?,"

"No, now you just told on yourself," I said shaking my head. "She came by the house asking about you, and here's the damn notes," I put it into a ball and throw it at him. I grab Layah and walk downstairs, I put her in the stroller.

"Rosalyn listen, I was drunk and yeah we-," I turn around and look at him.

"So you basically cheated on me," I said turning back to the door.

"Yes and Im truly sorry, it was an accident," I felt a tear run down my face.  I opened the door and walked out of the house. "Rosalyn," he said. I walk away and walk down the street, I slipped on my earphones. Layah is facing me, I don't want her to see me crying. I heard glass breaking, and the door slam from the house. I walk to the park and take a break,Layah was looking around at everyone. I smiled but was dying on the inside. I covered her up, it was about to start raining. I rushed to back to the house. I packed our stuff and put them into the car, Angus was barking in confusion. I put all of our stuff into the car and cried. I put Layah in the car and drove to my mothers.

"He didn't even try to come after me mom," I cried and cried. I told her about him proposing and she was happy, but Im not even sure anymore.

"Its okay baby," she says. I cry and cry, I see Layah looking at my nephew Jace like he is crazy, I giggle.

"Layah that is your cousin," Layah looks at me with her big eyes and jumps up and down. "Yeah you cousins," she smiled with her no teeth. I shake my head and smile.

***3 days later**

No text from him. For 3 days no call. For 3 days no letter. For 3 days no nothing. For 3 days without Tyler. For those 3 days has been a living hell.

"Mom I forgot something at the house I'll be back,"

"Okay," she says giving Layah a bath. I walk outside and theres no sun but rain, I get inside the house and its quiet. Angus is gone, nothing. I look around and everything reminds me of Tyler and I, I mean everything. I see the little box 52 reason why I love you. That's were I broke down, I leaned against the wall and cried. I slide down the wall and cried, I looked around and saw the broken glass. I hear the keys and Angus runs to me. 

"Rosalyn?," Tyler says confused.

"Im sorry I was just leaving," I said getting up and wiping my tears.

"You can stay please," he said. I can tell he was crying as well. I walk past him and he is wearing the colgne I bought him. I grab some more clothes for Layah and her formula, I see Tyler sitting on the couch, with tears in his eyes.

"Look," we both  say at the same time.

"You first," I say.

"Rosalyn I love you, and you know that. You are my life, you bring joy, happiness, and for God's sake you gave birth to our child. I don't want to lose you over some hoe, you have so much meaning and a huge impact on my life. If you don't like this apology then Im sorry, I just -," I grab his face and kiss him. He is surprised but goes along with it, this kiss was a make up kiss. I didn't see it coming, but I wanted it to. I cant lose him either, we are a family no matter what.
