CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

"I'm going out with Ben and Jessie. Do you need anything while I'm out?" I asked my dad while putting my cardigan on.

"Well there's this car that I'd love." He looked over at me and smirked.

"Very funny dad," I rolled my eyes.

"I always thought I was hilarious. But no I don't need anything. Have fun," he smiled before looking back at the TV.

"I'll see you later," I left the living room and lifted my keys. I left the house and walked over to my car.

I haven't spoken to Lewis since yesterday. I don't know what to think or to do. If I'm honest, I'm really afraid about his answer. I know I should talk to him about it, but I don't know if that will help. As long as Taylor is around, I don't think I'll be happy. I know that I should trust him. But after yesterday, that's easier said than done. I know he loves me, but they've got history. We've only been dating for just under two months. I know he wouldn't cheat on me. He's not that type of person. But who's to say he won't forgive her and get back with her?

I let out a breath and pulled up outside Jessie's house. I looked over at the house and watched Jessie walk out the front door. He smiled at me as he walked up to my car. "You alright Roxy?" He asked getting into the chair.

"Yeah I'm alright." I mumbled pulling away from his house.

"What's wrong with you?" He put on his seatbelt and turned in his seat slightly.

"Nothing," I glanced at him with a small smile.

"So then why did Jade text me last night asking me what's wrong with you?"

I knew answering her call last night was a bad idea. I knew she would know something's up. "It's a long story." I sighed and rested my hand on the gear stick.

"Well we've got some time." He pressed me for an answer. "Is it Hartley?" He asked somewhat hesitant of what my answer would be.

"Sort of," I shrugged slightly. "Do you remember I was telling you about his ex?" I glanced over at him while pulling up at a red light.

"That girl Taylor that had an abortion?" He questioned to make sure we were talking about the same person.

"Yeah," I get a bit angry and upset for Lewis when that's mentioned. I know how much it hurt him. But it also makes me feel a little bit jealous that he could've had a kid with someone else. "She came back to Mark's house on Friday before we left for his parents house." I still can't believe she would come back and try to talk to Lewis.

"Why didn't you say anything?" He asked as I pulled onto the motorway.

"We decided just to forget about it. He gets angry and upset and I don't like it either. So that's why I didn't tell you." I glanced over at him and smiled slightly.

"What did she want?" He turned back in his seat and looked out of the window.

"To talk to Mark. But he slammed the door in her face before she had a chance."
