Dick Grayson sat on the couch, reading Moby Dick.  As usual.

Moby Dick was the only reminder he had of his parents.  His parents always read  it to him.  He had it all through his youth.  It was the only possession he had when he arrived at Wayne Manor.

He looked up, Damian was chasing Jason around.  For some ridiculous reason no doubt.  Dick turned beside him and saw Tim idly staring at the ceiling.

Dick turned back to his book.

"Agh!" Jason cried as he jogged around on the carpet.

"What, to scared to face me head on?" Damian ran after him.

"Yes actually." Jason circled the couch.

"You are?" Damian hopped over the couch.

All of his three brothers stopped and stared at him.  Tim looked down from the ceiling and turned to stare his brother in the face.  Dick peeked out of his book and lifted an eyebrow.  Jason just stopped.

"Dude." Jason said.

"Dude what?" Damian crunched up his nose.

"Dude." Jason shook his head.

"What?" Damian said.

"Dude." Jason grinned.

"Now you're just doing it to annoy me." Damian crossed his arms.

"You're a trained assassin and you're asking why I'm afraid to ask you head on." Jason responded.

"For a guy who died and came back from the dead, Todd, you are a real wuss." Damian retorted.

Tim gaped, and started to giggle.

"Don't laugh, Tim." Jason glared,"Let me be the one to remind you that for the one who discovered Batman's identity you are the one that is the most small-minded.."

"Small-minded?" Tim asked.

"Yes, Drake." Damian glared,"You heard him the first time, or do you need to go to the ear doctor?"

And with that a three way bro fight broke out.

Insults were exchanged and punches were thrown.  Tim kicked and flipped, Jason pulled out his guns, Nerf guns(so he wouldn't hurt his brothers), and Damian threw his knife.

Through the whole thing, the feathers flying, Nerf pellets shooting around, and knifes whizzing by his face, Dick stayed calm, reading Moby Dick.

Damian pulled out his really big knife and threw it, Tim grimaced and flipped out of the way, Jason gaped and dodged.

The knife shot it's way to Dick and his book and the knife buried itself into the spine of Moby Dick and ripped the book in half.  Dick gasped, looking at his only childhood memory of his parents.  Dick dropped his book.  The pages spilled across the floor, the ancient paper detached from the broken spine.  The two worn covers were on two piles on the floor.

Dick stared, his parents, his childhood, his...

Dick looked up and glared,"What the heck!" his brothers stared at him, he never got that angry, frustrated maybe, but he never yelled harshly at his siblings,"What the heck is your problem!  That.. that.. book is like my.. Arg!  Why can't you ever just get along!"

With that he stormed out of the room and stormed up the stairs.

"We just ripped up his book.. why is he so mad?" Jason asked.

"Grayson just has anger management issues." Damian stated.

"No I think that's Jay over here." Tim pointed and Jason gave him a bat glare,"But seriously, Dick has never gotten that mad at us.  So why is that mad?"

"Dunno." Jason said,"Maybe he's just in a bad mood or something?"

"Doubt so," Damian shrugged,"When Grayson is in a really bad mood, he just sits and puts his head in his hand or something."

Alfred entered,"I think I heard Master Richard yelling.  Is everything okay?" suddenly his eyes shifted to the broken book on the floor, the cover looked really familiar, "Wait, don't tell me that that is Master Richard's copy of Moby Dick?"

"Umm.. well yeah, actually, why Pennyworth?" Damian asked.

"Oh no." Alfred said, kneeling down and looking at the poor condition of the book,"Oh no."

"Alfred?" Tim asked

"This was the Master's favorite book ever, it was his only belonging that he owned when he arrived at Wayne Manor, his only memory of his parents.. This is really bad.  I'll stitch the spine up, maybe the book will be in better shape by then, but I would..." Alfred said.

"Apologize?" Tim nodded,"On it."

---------

"So who wants to knock and ask for in, who wants to go in first, and who wants to apologize?"  Damian whispered.

"I'll do the knocking." Tim said,"And asking for in."

"I'll go in first." Jason said,"So Dami, want to apologize?"

"I hate you." Damian bat-glared.

---------

Tim knocked on Dick's door,"Hey Dick?  Can we come in?"

Dick grunted,"Why?"

"So we can apologize?" Tim flinched as the door opened and Jason stepped in first.

Jason flinched as he received a bat-glare.  A really good bat-glare.  It almost made Jason pee in his pants, but being a superhero and a bat, he didn't.

"So..." Damian began,"Um?"

Dick's glare deepened.

"I didn't mean to Dick.." Damian said,"I really didn't mean to, I didn't know how much that book meant to you.. I..I..."  Damian was on the verge of tears

Tim and Jason's eyes opened, Damian never called Dick Dick, he always had called him Grayson.  Dick merely raised an eyebrow.

Damian sighed and held back tears.  He wouldn't show Grayson that he cared.  Because he did. He just didn't want Grayson to know.  And he didn't want Grayson to be mad at him.  He didn't want to lose his relationship with his brother, just because he made him mad,"I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry." and he did something so un-Damian like that even Dick was surprised.

He started to cry.

Dick did something too.  He pulled Damian into a hug,"I love you Damian.  And I forgive you."

"The sentiment is shared Grayson." Damian answered.

"Hey can I have some of that?" Tim asked.

Dick looked down and grabbed Tim, making him join the hug.

Jason looked over and joined the hug, wrapping his huge arms around his brothers.

Alfred appeared to at the door with a stitched up Moby Dick,"Well that's something you won't see everyday.."
