A/N:  This story kinda branches off one of my other one shots called A Coat for Damian.  If you don't remember it, I don't blame you!  It was my third one shot in this whole entire book!  If you want to go ahead and reread it go ahead, nobody's stopping you.  If you are to lazy to go back and read, I don't blame you either, I would probably be reading this now and be like, JUST GET TO THE POINT ALREADY!  Basically in A Coat for Damian, Tim presents Damian with a coat that he has always wanted... that's all you need to know.  Also if you want to see Dick and Jason, they will only be in this chapter briefly, so I'm sorry, but people have been saying that they don't like seeing Dick all the time and it's time to spread the love between the Robins... I get it, and I'll try to get them all their own personal story where the spotlight is on them!  On with the story...

Damian watched as Tim prepared to jump out the window of his second story bedroom in the manor in his Red Robin suit, "Hey demon!  Tell Dick I'm gonna be home by 3 A.M.  And tell Jason I borrowed his grappling hook, okay?"

"Yeah, whatever, just get out of here, you obnoxious brat!" Damian growled, grabbing Tim's magazine and turning to walk out of the room.

Tim's face dropped, though he was used to this type of verbal abuse from Damian, it always made him feel like he did something so awful and unforgivable and it made him super frustrated.  So he said in a quieter voice,"You'll tell them though right?"

"Yeah, just because I know Dick will worry his head off if I don't tell him where or when you'll be home!" Damian retorted angrily.

Tim whispered in a voice he thought that only he could hear,"Sometime's I just wonder why I bought that coat for you..." and he jumped out of the window.

---

Except Damian heard it.  And Damian felt bad.

Walking around his room, he pondered on what he would give to Tim as a present.  He deserved one back right?  Right?  He had been a good brother to Damian lately.  And actually, he was a pretty good brother in general, but Damian always just had to go and hate on Tim.

He had tried to pay Tim back, but putting feelings into words always proved to be a challenge for him...

Flashback

"Hey Drake!" Damian skipped nervously on his feet, wondering how to put this.

"What do you want Damian?  I mean, I'd love to help you..." here Damian could hear sarcasm in his voice here,"But I mean, I'm doing Calculus and do you have any idea how hard this is?"

"No... I wouldn't know..." Damian said, trying to stall for time.

"What is it that you want?" Tim asked, his head now banging on the desk.

"Um..." Damian paused, then punched Tim,"That!"

End Flashback

No, he could certainly not put his feelings into words... so he could make or buy or find or get a present for his brother right?

He wandered slowly into Tim's room and looked for something his adopted brother might need.  Nothing, nothing, nothing.  What to you get for the teen that has everything?

---

Tim fingered Jason's grappling hook with jealousy.  His big brother had always been kind enough to lend it to him.  Enough being the key word.... Jason wasn't always the nicest of the bunch.  Scratch that, Jason wasn't the nicest of the bunch. But, beyond that, all Tim loved was that grappling hook.  He was so jealous, because his old one, wouldn't retract, or be reusable, or be this amazing!  This amazing!  Gosh, what would he do with this if he had it?  Oh I don't know, catch more villains?  Duh....

Oh, if only...

----

Suddenly it Damian Wayne like a lightening bolt!  That grappling hook!  Tim's face when he mentioned it!  That was it.  Grabbing his prized coat, Damian rushed out the door of his room.  He ran out into the hall, accidentaly bowling into the wall, barely missing crashing into two people.

Dick and Jason were there laughing over something... talking about the good ol' days and such.

"Oh no!  How could I- uh oh..." Damian suddenly ran back into his room, knocking over a vase and not bothering to pick it up.  Water stained the black carpet, and the withering roses that had currently been in the vase

Dick and Jason stared at each other, and Dick broke the silence, pushing his black hair out of his face to reveal his shimmering blue eyes, "Scarecrow's gas?"

"His fear gas?" Jason asked, suddenly protectively clutching for the gun that he 'secretly', though it was known around the house, gun that he hid in his belt pouch under his leather jacket.

They stared at each other hard, worry etching their handsome features and they suddenly in total sync started to laugh,"Nah......"

Damian rushed back into his room, to pick up his money.  He would have to find enough to money to buy the dang thing, and know where to buy it.

---

Tim came home and tiredly hopped on his bed, and saw something on his bed.

A grappling hook.

Oh my gosh....

The one he had always wanted...

For you, my big brother
