Batgirl #58  I swear, they need to have more Cass and Dick moments in canon.  Cutest comic book moment ever, he acted it out for her... oh my gosh so cute :)  He's such a good big brother.  And Cass is so cool.  This is probably Tim centered, and very short.  He may be a little OC, cause I don't know how much he likes travelling :D

---

International travel was good.  Seeing the world, seeing the sights.  The new nature, the new food, the new people.  All the new cultures, everything was so cool.  Going new places, learning new languages.  Being chased down the street because he accidentally offended some guy because his accent was so so bad.

He loved it all.

He was in Hong Kong this time around.  It was great.  He was visiting his sister, helping her fight crime.  They didn't need to say a word.  They were just fighting, it was almost natural.  That's what he loved about Cassandra, there was no need for words, no need to talk, it just came to him, flowed with him.  It wasn't like fighting with Bruce, where you had to constantly wonder if he still with you fighting, or if he'd run off to find the villain.  It wasn't like with Dick, where he would engage you in a deep long conversation and you had two things to concentrate on.  It wasn't like with Jason, where you had to watch that he didn't kill anybody.  It wasn't Steph, where you had to watch her back and yours, because her level of experience was still not as high as needed.  Not like with Damian, where you needed to make sure he wouldn't kill you.  With Cass, you just had to fight, fight so naturally.  No need to worry that she'd run off, engage you in conversation, try to kill someone, worry about who got your back, and wonder if she'd kill you.

And it calmed him.  He was glad he was with family.

"Hey Cass!"  he said in the morning, hiding his Red Robin costume somewhere in his suitcase.

"Morning." Cass said, waving friendly to him.

"Do we have any clue who those people's boss were last night?" Tim asked, putting his hand on his head.

"No.  Interrogation?" Cass asked.

Tim pulled out his Red Robin costume back out, "You read my mind."

Cass smiled, and pulled on her Blackbat gloves, "No, I read your body."

He was happy to be travelling.  Travelling was so magical, a way to see everything.  He went around the world, visiting other Batman Incorperated members.  El Gaucho.

"Should we fight them?" Red Robin asked El Gaucho, "There's a lot of them."

"You've been in this as long as me.  You should know one of the best rules we have in crime-fighting." El Gaucho said, glaring.

"Which is?" Red Robin asked.

"We never back down!" El Gaucho shouted.

Nightrunner.

"What do we have to do to fight him down?" Red Robin asked.

"Last time I fought him and his team we needed to shut down the buttons in their heads.  They're robots, created by some weird guy in Paris." Nightrunner explained.

"Then what are we waiting for?"  Red Robin asked.

So he was going around the world and fighting the bad guys.

Two things he loved.

Travelling and fighting for what he loved.

Not being confined to Gotham was great. Not having one base, not having to be constricted.  Being free was an amazing feeling.  It was great to fly the nest.  Of course, when you're a bird, you always have to fly back every once in awhile.

He was going home.

After a year, he was finally going home.

Cass would come with.

Flying back to their nest.

Sure things had probably changed.  Dick and Damian were probably still together as the new and improved Batman and Robin.  Batman and Robin 2.0.  Stephanie had probably became a great Batgirl, and probably had a new boyfriend already.  Bruce was most likely gonna be obsessed with his crusade, more then ever.  Jason had probably joined their side.  Gotham was probably better then ever.

After a year, he had no idea all he had missed.

But that didn't matter.

Because he was finally coming home.
