Okay, I tried to make a humorous chapter, it didn't work.... sorry:

ALSO, important note, this chapter is set in the future: Damian is 18, Tim is 23, Jason is 27, Dick is 26, and Cass is like 22.  There may be some OC's in this chapter and there is a new Robin, because Damian couldn't have stayed Robin till 18, so I'm really sorry that I have to make up a character, once again, so so sorry, but I really hope you enjoy.

Damian bit the end of his eraser, thoughtfully planning out the next part of his English essay on family.  Honestly, this was hard.  Really hard.  He hadn't even started.  That's how hard it was, and this was due tomorrow.

He hadn't started for a reason.  And that reason was because his family had fallen apart years ago.  Well, they'd all left and went their separate ways.  Dick had gone off to college long ago(graduating with a PhD in math)and married Babs(who got a PhD in aerospace engineering), soon after and they were busy raising their kids.  Jason moved out once Dick did and pretty much disappeared off the face of the Earth, presumably traveling the world.  Tim moved out of the house right after Jason disappeared and got accepted into Yale 3 years earlier than expected, and recently they heard he was engaged to Steph.  Alfred died, had a heart-attack three days after the boys disappeared.  Cassandra left a week after that, joining some elite team of people skilled in gymnastics and fighting.

Bruce was still here and he was still Batman, older and wiser perhaps, but he was still Batman.  He had been through countless heartbreaks as his four eldest children had moved out and away.  Damian was no longer Robin, he was now Eagle.  It was a fitting enough name for him, as he had to pass his Robin mantle onto someone else.  That would be Ethan Dunes.  He was the newest Robin, and at 13 years he possessed the same amazing talent for the impossible that each of his progressors had.  Dick had been far amazing and skilled at gymnastics.  Jason was the one with the incredible aim.  Tim had been the smart one, coding and hacking had been his profession.  Stephanie possessed this high pain tolerance level.  Damian himself  was just skilled with swords and sai's and was bred to be perfect.  Ethan was the martial arts prodigy, and he, Dami had to admit was pretty amazing.

Dick would be happy to hear that his mantle had extended all the way to this....

but Dick wasn't here, and Damian couldn't be there to tell him and Damian couldn't be there to watch Dick's face light up.

Jason would love to know Damian got accepted to do a national gun championship...

but Jason had disappeared, and Damian wouldn't be able to see how proud his brother would've been of him.

Tim would be so grateful to know that Damian had become valedictorian in his eighth grade class...

but Tim had a life, and he would never know anything about Damian's achievements, and he'd never be jealous.

Cassandra might of been happy that Damian had used some of her tricks on his prisoners...

but Cass was off with some other people, and she might not ever hear about Damian's 10% upgrade on how many guys he sent to jail.

They would never know.

They might not ever come back.

So this was why his essay was going badly.

"Damian?"  a voice came from the door.

"Yeah?"  Damian whipped his head around to see Ethan leaning on the door with tears staining the corners of his face, and immediate concern flooded through him.  It was weird, caring for someone like this, but he had learned from Dick that being a great big brother was very important, and he needed to be there for his younger brother, "What's wrong?"
