Day 9: Write a scene with only one character, alone.

Rippling waves of water trickled around my legs as I sat on the deck's edge, letting my legs spill into the pool underneath, waiting for my friends to arrive. I wasn't necessarily in the best shape, so I had put on my one piece and pulled shorts on to cover up my big thighs. Pulling off this pool party was important to me, because it was the one and only party I would host this year. Unfortunately, Patricia had taken back her word to help me so I was left fending for myself. All of the water balloons were filled and nestled away in a big cooler that hid them from plain sight. ......

That was written a long time ago.... I'll keep it there in honor of the challenge and publish it despite how horrendous it is. It's just a bit that I never got around to finishing... like usual.
