"You probably ordered the weirdest desert ever," I say laughing.
"Why do you say that?" he asks as he stuffs his face with his odd desert.
"It has bananas and peanuts-"
"It's delicious! Don't make fun of it. Plus, the cook even complimented me on my choice. So, shut it, Tomlinson."
He sticks out his tongue. I laugh and take a bite of my brownie sundae.
"But who else eats bacon on a desert?" I ask after a moment of silence.
"Didn't I tell you to shut it?" he says jokingly.
I laugh.
"Can I try it?"
He nods pushing it towards me. I frown.
"Oh no! My hands aren't working correctly! You'll have to feed it to me!" I lie dramatically.
He smirks before picking up the spoon and scooping some up.
"Here comes the airplane! Open wide!" he baby's me, making the spoon sway from side to side as it travels to my mouth.
"Can you ever be romantic?" I joke.
"Of course," he replies. "But you were being cheeky, so I'm being cheeky right back."
I smirk.
"Now seriously, open wide," he says.
Laughing, he shoves the bacon desert my mouth. I guess it isn't too bad. Not as bad as I was expecting.
"I've been so broken in life that I barely know what romance is," Harry adds.
I frown as I swallow my desert. I am about to say something after I wipe my mouth, but am interupted by Harry.
"That doesn't matter, though. That was the past. I have you. You can show me what love is."
I blush. Suddenly, young boys and girls enter the resteraunt dressed in fancy clothes that grab everyone's attention.
"Do you think that is for their prom?" Harry asks glancing at them.
The girls have their hair done up fancy and curly. The boys have their hair gelled back or up in some sort of quiff. They have nice suits and dresses. It looks like prom. I only shrug, looking back at Harry.
"What was your prom like?" he asks putting his attention back on me.
"To be quite honest, I didn't really like mine. It was boring and not as magical as I expected. But life isn't like the movies," I answer.
"It can be," he says with bright eyes.
I smile at him. Ignoring this, however, I say curiously,"How was your prom?"
"Okay... I went with some friends and this one girl who was also just a friend. At the time, I sort of liked her. A little crush. Nothing really happened between us, but it was a great night."
"It sounds like it. Better than mine. If only I could have a prom redo," I laugh.
"Yeah. If only..."
We eat more in silence. It wasn't uncomfortable, though. We were comfortable and just plain glad to be in each other's company. During dinner, we mostly laughed and joked about things. We discussed music and different artists and songs that we really like. It was a simple little conversation that I wouldn't want to have with anyone else. He made that simple little conversation special. Very special. Sometimes, I would stare at him so much that I got lost and no longer knew what he was talking about. However, I didn't want to miss a word that came out of his mouth.
