Date Night

"I was wondering, would you um, maybe like to go out with me tonight, around 6?" I asked nervously.

She smiled brightly and nodded. I heard the other boys ask and all the girls agreed. With time to kill we all headed back inside and sat on the beds to watch movies. We ended up watching some movie about high school kids going to prom together then growing up and getting married. It was a chick flick that I'm sure none of the other boys enjoyed either but the girls seemed to like it. Then a scene where the guy went to the girl's father to ask for his permission to marry his daughter came on. I didn't care much so I turned my attention to Jill, but she wasn't watching either. She was looking down at her lap, playing with her hands, lost in thought.

"Are you okay" I whispered.

She flinched a little and looked at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine"

I wasn't convinced and I wanted to cheer her up so I took a chance. I quickly wrapped my arms around her waist and sat her in between my legs. She squealed when I picked her up causing everyone to shush us but I didn't listen. She was smiling and that's all that mattered, after a minute she leaned back against my chest and closed her eyes.

"You can't fall asleep, you'll miss our date" I whispered in her ear.

She opened her eyes a little and smiled.

"Shh, I can do what I want" She sassed me.

"That's what you think" I teased.

"What time is it anyway" She mumbled.

"Almost 4"

She opened her eyes and sat up.

"What?"

"Alyssa it's almost 4!" Jill said hitting Alyssa's arm.

Alyssa got up along with Cammy and Melody who also heard Jill.

"Oh gosh! Okay, boys! Out out out!" Alyssa directed.

"What why?" Mark asked confused.

"We have to get ready" Melody said like it was obvious.

"But there's two hours before its 6" Geo said as confused as the rest of us.

"Ugh, boys" Cammy groaned.

"Out!" Jill giggled at me pointing to the door.

"Why can't I stay here while you get changed?" I teased winking.

Jill's face immediately turned red and Alyssa, Cammy, and Melody stood shocked for a moment before bursting into a fit of laughter.

"Now you really have to get out" Jill challenged grabbing my hand and pulling me up.

The girls immediately pushed all the boys out of the room and closed the door.

"That's so rude!" Mark yelled to the door.

"Get over it!" I'm certain Alyssa yelled back.

"Well now what?" Mario asked.

"I guess we go get ready" I shrugged.

The four of us headed back to our room and discussed the plans for tonight. We each made sure we weren't planning the same date for our girls, luckily none of our ideas clashed. When we reached the room we had our date nights planned so we all sat on the couch. There was no reason any of us needed two hours to get ready.
