He Left

I was sure it was Melody or my mom until whoever it was laid down beside me, removed the rag from my face, wrapped their arms around me and pulled me to their chest. I inhaled deeply, feeling slightly better, I knew that scent, and the feeling of these arms around me. I buried my face in their chest and smiled.

"It's okay beautiful, don't be scared, I'll never let anything hurt you" Hunter whispered kissing the top of my head.

I heard Alyssa and Cammy say aww before giggling and getting back into bed.

In the back of my mind I knew that if my mom came back in the morning and saw this she'd kill me but I pushed that thought away. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep listening to Hunter's heart beat.

~the next morning~

"Jill get up! Jill hurry!" A voice I'm sure was Cammy's whispered urgently.

"What" I grumbled moving over to hide my face in Hunter's chest. But something wasn't right.

"He's gone Jill, he left" Alyssa whispered as if those words alone would break me.

My heart ached, he left? Without even waking me up to say goodbye? Of course he did, he only came over last night because he pitied me, he doesn't like me.

"Jill, come on, your moms on her way back and you're wearing your dads shirt" Cammy rushed.

"Oh god!"

I jumped out of bed and pulled my tshirt off, carefully folding it and putting it at the bottom of my bag before quickly pulling another shirt out and putting it on.

"Thank you....um guys, how did Hunter know to come here last night?"

"I called him" Alyssa said shrugging.

"What? When?"

"When you locked yourself in the bathroom, I didn't know if we could get you to come out so I called him and explained to him what was happening and he came right over"  Alyssa explained.

"Oh"

I laid back in bed checking my phone for the time, 6:00, but there was something else to, a text message, I unlocked my phone and read it.
