Penny Board Klutz

As we collected our shirts we heard the door open and another eruption of screams. The boys soon appeared followed by Shawn.

"Oh gosh, go, go, go, go!" I rushed with the girls towards backstage.

When we got behind the stage we set all our stuff down to catch our breath.

"Well that was close"

"The boys almost saw our shirts"

I was going to reply when a small stream of light caught my eye. It was from the split of the curtains leading to the stage.

"We can look and see if the boys are coming" I said gesturing towards the curtain.

The girls and I huddled around the curtain opening and pulled it back a tiny bit so we could find the boys, but we didn't see them.

"Why don't we go out there so we don't lead the boys back here" Alyssa stated like it was obvious.

"Oh, good idea"

We all walked back towards the main floor to catch the boys but when we got back we still didn't see them. So I started looking around.

"What're you looking for?" Ashton said suddenly from behind me, making me jump.

"Oh, I was looking for the boys"

"They're back with Shawn in another room practicing and going over the rules and stuff" Ashton explained.

"Any of you want to do something fun?" Ashton asked before I could say anything.

"Sure"

"Wait right here"

Ashton disappeared, darting into the hallway. When he returned he was carrying a lot of things in his arms so we went to help him. When we got closer we quickly realized he had two penny boards tucked under his arms and a hoverboard in each hand.

"Where'd you get these?" I asked taking the hoverboards from him and putting them on the floor.

"They belong to the boys, I got them from the bags the crew brought in"

"Ash we can't play on things that aren't ours"

"They won't care, you're their girlfriends"

I smiled slightly at the thought, I knew I was Hunter's girlfriend but it was strange and nice to hear someone else say it.

Ashton proceeded to hand Alyssa and I a penny board and Melody and Cammy a hoverboard.

"Alyssa are you sure you should ride that?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I?"

"Well...you're not the most...balanced person" I said slowly.

"Shut up! I can do this"

I laughed at Alyssa but didn't argue. I held Cammy's hand as she stepped on the hoverboard and tried to steady herself, once I was confident she wouldn't fall I let go and laid my penny board down.

I waited for Alyssa to get on hers, when she stepped down the board moved sending her backward, I moved to catch her but she caught herself and straightened up.

"I can do this" she huffed.

"Alright" I smiled stepping back.
