Date Night (Pt. 3)

Mark's POV

"Does my hair look okay?"

"Mark, you've asked that four times"

"Yes, you look very pretty Mark" Weston teased.

"Shut up!" I joked.

"You better hurry up, it's almost 6" Blake said standing beside me.

"Oh god, I gotta go!" I yelled as headed for the door.

I hurried down to Alyssa's room and knocked on the door. I heard footsteps come to the door and I started to get nervous. Before the door opened I ran my fingers through my hair one last time, looked at the ground, and took a deep breath.

"Are you ready?" Alyssa asked as soon as she opened the door.

"Yeah I....wow" I said finally looking up.

She looked stunning, I didn't have words to describe her, she had chosen to wear a loose white shirt, maroon skinny jeans, and brown leather boots.

"You look great" I smiled holding out my hand.

She took it and closed the door behind her. As we walked to the lobby I couldn't help but stare at her hoping she didn't notice.

"So where are we going?" She asked once we reached the lobby.

"It's a surprise"

"No, I hate surprises please tell me" she whined sticking her bottom lip out.

"Nope, sorry babe"

She huffed but let it go just as our uber pulled up. I opened the door for her before going to my side and getting in. I told the driver where we were going and he smiled and nodded before turning the radio on a little.

"You don't mind right?" He asked gesturing towards the radio.

"No of course not"

On our way we talked about a lot of stuff. I learned she has a little sister, she's lived in Dallas her whole life with her parents and sister, she met Melody in kindergarten, Cammy in 3rd grade, and Jill when she moved here. I was about to ask her some more questions when we pulled into the parking lot.

"Oh my gosh! Can we watch Finding Dory?" Alyssa said grabbing my arm when she realized we were at a movie theatre.

"We can watch anything you want gorgeous" I smiled watching her face turn red.

After paying for our tickets Alyssa went to get our drinks while I got our popcorn. I tried to keep my head down and not draw to much attention, I love my supporters but I don't want to mess up my date with Alyssa. After getting our popcorn I looked around for Alyssa, I finally found her...talking to some guy. I felt my face heat up with jealousy, I tried to fight it, there was no reason to be jealous he was probably asking her directions or something. But then he put his hand over hers, that wasn't happening. I walked quickly over to her and put my arm around her, pretending not to notice the guy. But I did notice he quickly moved his hand away from her.

"Ready to go babe?" I ask smiling at her.

She smiled back and nodded, following me towards the theatre. When we reached the screening room we found our seats, the very top row in the middle. I could tell Alyssa was excited she was almost jumping up and down in her seat, it was cute. Once the movie started Alyssa's eyes were fixated on the screen, mine were on her. The way she smiled when something funny happened, the way she pouted when something sad happened, the way she furrowed her eyebrows when she was confused, it was all so intriguing to me. She was so beautiful, I knew I had to ask her soon, there was no way she could go back to Dallas without knowing. When the movie was half over, and I finally worked up the courage to do it, I pretended to yawn and slowly put my arm around her. She leaned into me, put her head on my shoulder, and giggled a little.

"What's so funny?" I whispered.

"That was your big move? A fake yawn?" She giggled.

"Hey, be nice!" I whispered back poking her cheek.

She laughed but didn't make a comment back. When the movie was nearing an end I decided to ask her.

"Alyssa" I whispered.

"What?" She groaned seeming to not want to be interrupted during the movie.

"Um...I was wondering, would you maybe, like to be my girlfriend?" I asked letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

It seemed to take a second for Alyssa to process what I said. She slowly looked up at me and smiled. I definitely didn't expect what happened next.

She kissed me.

I kissed her back, putting my hands on her cheeks and bringing her close to me. When I pulled away to catch my breath I smiled at her.

"I'll take that as a yes" I smirked.

She smiled back and cuddled closer to me. I laid my head on hers and smiled to myself. Soon after the movie ended and we left the screening room.

"I had fun tonight" Alyssa said, but she didn't look very happy anymore.

"What's the matter?"

"I leave in a little over an hour, I'm going to miss you" She sighed.

"Don't worry babe, I'll come see you as soon as I can" I said wrapping her in a hug.

We headed outside where the uber was waiting for us. After opening and closing her door for her, I slowly went around to my side. I couldn't stop smiling, she means the world to me, I'll make sure her last hour with me is amazing.
