I stood facing Atlas. Apollo was knocked to the side, winded but not out of the fight. I wouldn't be much use though. I was injured, and if I took a real hit from Atlas, I'd be done. I looked to my sister. I could get her help.
Dodging between Atlas' thrusts with his spear, I stepped in beside Artemis. "Give me the sky, and take some of my energy. You need to get him under here. I need Apollo's healing, soon."
She looked at me worried, but luckily didn't argue, just nodded. I took the sky and she took some energy. Leaping into the fray, she was like a wildcat, graceful and fierce.
I couldn't see much of the battle. The weight of the sky combined with the pain of the poison was blurring my vision. The agony was extreme, but I'd dealt with worse, been through worse. I'd survive. I had much more to fight for now than I did then.
Eventually, finally, Artemis tricks Atlas into falling into me. I let the sky fall back on him and quickly roll out. Im exhausted, wounded, and I can't even stand. Apollo rushes to my side.
"No, no, no. Not again. You're not dying on me this time little brother," he mumbles as he pours power into his healing abilities, wiping the poison from my system.
"I don't plan on it." That was the best I could come up with?
"Thank you for rescuing me. How did you know where to find me, let alone I had been taken?"
I look at her. "Something I never told you before...I'm the mix of you two. Meaning I have minor abilities that you both have. Some prophecy, healing, wolves, moon, sun...but you know my main is the eclipse and tides. So, when Apollo gave that prophecy to me when I was a demigod, I didn't know. When I came back to my full power as a god, things became a bit clearer. Especially since I'm not bound by the Ancient Laws at all. That's pretty useful when it comes to making sure things happen, you know."
Artemis looked at me, "So, you are literally a median between us. I never really understood why you would always say that. It makes so much sense now."
I nodded and groaned when I sat up. "Uh...guys...I don't think I could flash myself two feet, let alone back to Olympus or camp..." I say, trailing off.
Apollo grinned. "But you're alive, so thats a plus. Trust me when I say, thats a huge relief. When you faded, Artemis went into such a huge depression, that she wandered Earth for fifty years, refusing to come to Olympus, even for a Council meeting. And...and I went off repeatedly doing what I promised you I'd at least try to slow down on," he said, ashamed. I put a hand on his shoulder.
"Its okay. I know, it must have been rough, and I'm sorry to have put you through that. I shouldn't have given up."
