Chapter 12

A voice cut through the morning air, waking the campers from their sleep. I grinned at the man that shouted. He'd alway's been loud, and now he just proved it hadn't disappeared in all that time.

Campers slowly trickled into the arena and were stunned into silence. Soon the whole camp was standing before me. "Okay campers. As you know, I'm in charge of getting you ready for the next few years for this war.

"I knew there was no way I could do it by myself, just coming back into my godhood and all. So I called in some favors from an old friend. We have before you the best teachers the mythological world has to offer.

"Please welcome, Achilles, Theseus, my younger brother Perseus, Jason, Hyppolyta, Odysseus, and Bellerophon."

The campers stared in awe at the sight of the legendary figures in front of them. I saw Annabeth look at me and I just grinned back. I had surprised the daughter of Athena, probably something that didn't happen often. The smartest child that old owl had since Daedalus.

"So what's going to happen now, is they are going to help in teaching you guys. While I might be a god that has a minor in swordsmanship and major in archery, I won't be able to teach each of you the basics and the advanced things. So, Perseus will be doing swordsmanship, basics and intermediate. I'll be covering advanced. Hyppolyta will do archery basics and intermediate, and I'll do advanced. Achilles will do all of spear wielding. Odysseus will teach battle tactics. Bellerophon will teach mounted tactics. And Jason and Theseus will teach in battle strategizing. Chiron will take over teaching you to control your demigod powers.

"As odd as that may sound, battle tactics and in battle strategizing are two different things. I will be setting required courses for each cabin and then give every camper two additional lessons that they can choose to attend.

"Athena campers, you are required to attend the battle tactics and strategizing classes and at least one melee weapon class of your preferred weapon. Ares, you are required to attend all weapons classes, not that you will mind that at all. Apollo, of course archery and powers. Demeter, definitely powers and a weapon of your choice, same with you Dionysus cabin and Aphrodite cabin. Hermes...well, practice traps and weapons. And Hephaestus cabin...work on any projects that will help. Catapults, traps, and such mainly.

"This is going to be difficult. None of you ever thought you'd have to fight in a war, but, I promise you, with these trainers, we are sure to win. I have faith you guys. So, let the training...commence!"

Everyone was speechless for a solid minute before questions were being thrown left and right. No one understood what was going on or how I had secured such notable heroes. I looked at Annabeth and got a glare in return. Most likely for not letting her know what was going on.

She'd get over it...hopefully.
