Chapter 27

 ~AUTHOR CHAN'S P.O.V.~

 It's been a week since Ellen fainted. Seven days straight. Winter's over worked, trying to work with Jasper, AND Sam, trying to keep Evil Sam away. Taurtis hasn't eaten or slept for three days. Orchid and Brittany are trying to be there for Caramel, but Evil Caramel seems to be coming more often, but Caramel has become amazingly well at controlling her. They've brought hybrid doctors into this situation. Taurtis, Sam, Winter, and Jasper have been given rooms in the hospital to stay in over night. All day, the rest of them come and stay in the hospital. Blue is getting better at controlling Evil Blue, with Dom's help. Mary is trying her best to look into Ellen's past to see if there's some way to heal her.

~CARAMEL'S P.O.V.~

 I walked into the hospital last. I had to get a bit of extra sleep last night. I saw Grian trying to tell Taurtis he needs some rest, but he wouldn't listen. Taurtis tried to sit down in a chair, but J and Grian carried him by his arms to his room to get some sleep. "NO, got-I-but I got-I need-.." Taurtis stammered. "What you need is REST!" J and Grian exclaimed. They carried him off to his room. Sam was asleep in a chair in the waiting room. I walked over to him. "Sam? You awake?" I whispered to him. He slowly blinked his eyes. His eyes shot open and he jumped up. "ELLEN?!" he shouted. "Sam!" I exclaimed. He looked around and rested his gaze on me. His rabbit ears lowered and he sat back down with a loud sigh. "Can I see her yet.." he mumbled. He asks me that every morning when I come to see him. "No, not yet.." I said. He buried his head in his lap. He sobbed quietly to himself. "Sam, it's ok-" "NO, IT'S NOT OK!!!" He shouted. I took a deep breath and Brittany walked over to us. "Sam, you need to calm dow-" "NO!!!" he yelled, interrupting her. He yelled in frustration and opened up his arms for a hug. He hid his face as he begged for a sign of compassion. I walked into his open arms and he wrapped his arms around me. I wrapped my arms around him. "I want to hug Ellen.." he mumbled. "I know, we all do.." I said. He let go and walked to his corner and sat down, burying his face in his lap. Brittany came up to me and rubbed my back as we walked to sit down. Grian and J came back from putting Taurtis to sleep. "He's finally resting." J said. Blue wiped a tear and smiled. Dom rubbed her back. Grian and J went to sit by Sam and we waited. Waited more and more. Longer, longer. Just waiting for an answer.

~SAM'S P.O.V.~

 Waiting. Waiting. Longer. LONGER. UNBEARABLE. CAN'T TAKE IT.

 "It's 1:30, you want some lunch?" Grian asked. I stayed silent. I'm not hungry. I don't want to eat. Something tells me Ellen would want me to eat. I slightly nodded my head, still buried in my lap. "I'll go get you Subway or something." J said. He grabbed his phone. "What'ya want?" he asked me. I stayed silent. "..GetwhatEllengets.." I mumbled. He sighed loudly. "Sure, buddy.." he said. He asked everyone else what they want and he took wrote it down in his phone. He and Orchid exited the hospital to go get our food. Grian stayed by me. Grian is a good friend. No one is as good of a friend as Ellen. "...Buddy, you haven't told anyone what happened except the doctor, you want to talk about it?" Grian asked me. I stayed silent, thinking. What is they blame everything on me?! What if they think I'm guilty, and they bring me back to that horrible place?! I don't want to go back!! No, got to think positive, these are my friends! Surely they wouldn't find me guilty?! What... What if I AM guilty?! Did I cause all this?! I'm hyperventilating, I need to stop!! I need to tell someone or I'll burst!! I'm scared, Ellen, what do I do?!

 I stayed silent a bit longer. "Think of it this way, do you think Ellen would want you to tell me?" Grian said. I slightly nodded my head. "Gather yourself before you tell me.." he slowly said. I stayed silent a bit longer and took a deep breath.

 ~GRIAN'S P.O.V.~

 He stayed silent longer and he took a deep breath. He opened his mouth to speak. "I-I asked her out.." he said slowly. "You asked her out??" I asked to confirm I heard correctly. He nodded. "What'd she say?" I asked him. "Nothing, I heard a crash and Evil Ellen came and took control.. of.. her.. heart.." he slowed down. WHOAWHOA. "What do you mean she took control of her heart?!" I tried to whisper. "She entered through the heart, not the brain.. Now, she can't leave her heart.." he said, trying to fight the tears. What was that crash he said?? And now, Ellen will forever be controlled by Evil Ellen?? Will it ever be safe to see her again?! Sam sobbed into his lap. I pulled his head to rest on my shoulder. He wrapped his arms around me for a hug, and I held on to him. "Ellen's a better hugger.." he mumbled. "I know she is, buddy.." I said. J and Orchid walked through the door with the sandwiches and drinks. "Everyone grab a drink." Orchid said, holding the tray with all the drinks. I got up and grabbed two drinks and grabbed Sam and I's sandwiches. I walked back to Sam and sat down again. I handed him his sandwich and drink. He turned his head away from the food and drink. "Sam, you know you need to eat!" I said. He stayed still a bit and grabbed the sandwich and drink, set the drink down on the ground, and unwrapped his sandwich. He studied the sandwich to make sure J got it right. He wrapped the sandwich back up. "Sam, you got to eat.." I said again. "I can't eat this!" he exclaimed. "Why?!" I asked, puzzled. "Ellen gets mayo, there's no mayo!!" he exclaimed. "SAM!" I yelled. His eyes widened and his ears flew back. "OK, OK..." he mumbled loudly. He unwrapped the sandwich again and took a bite.

~2 HOURS LATER~

~SAM'S P.O.V.~

 If I go back, Ellen will never love me, not that she even can, she's not capable of love anymore.. Memories started flooding back of that... place. The barred up room, like a jail cell, but more of like a box. Every hybrid has been there at least once. Caramel's been there once, Jasper and Winter have gone twice, Blue and Dom have had to been there at least once, Every hybrid has been there, and one time is at least a full week. A full week of zero sleep, no eating either because you hate their food, which does taste horrible, or because you're being driven mad. I almost went mad.. I've been there twice.. I don't think I could mentally handle another turn, but if I don't see Ellen soon, I know I'll be going back! All they do there is keep you in a barred up box!! They think they're helping you, giving you TIME TO CALM DOWN, BUT THEY'RE DRIVING YOU INSANE!!!

 No, got to calm down..

 It's 3:50. Ellen has to be ok.
