Chapter 38

~ELLEN'S P.O.V.~

 The alarm went off at 5:00 A.M. I woke up and saw Sam wrapped around me as usual. Memories of last night came flooding back..

..

I'm only fourteen this is freakin' crazy..

 We repeated yesterday's morning.

~JASPER'S P.O.V.~

 The alarm went off at 3:00 A.M. My head hurt like never before, and I opened my eyes to see Winter waking up by me. "It was cold.." "It's always cold.." I interrupted her. I felt kind of rude, interrupting her like that, but my head just couldn't tolerate any noise. We got up immediately, out on our uniforms, and went off to the obstacle course.

 Every glare between the captain and I only made me infuriated more and more.

~ELLEN'S P.O.V.~

 Sam and I grabbed hands and exited the dorm room, and walked to Akademi High School. Standing near the door were those two guys from yesterday. Sam looked at me in fear. "Ignore them.." I whispered to him lovingly, but seriously. We walked right past them as they snickered. Sam's eyes had a tiny hint of red, but I kissed him on the cheek, and he calmed down with a deep breath. The second we walked in the building, Mrs. Okami said over the speaker, "Prime, Yuro, Sam, and Ellen to my office, please." We looked at each other wide eyed and walked to Mrs. Okami's office. I locked arms with him, just in case.

 We entered the big room, and saw the guy with green glasses, and the guy with blue hair. They were sitting in silence. When they saw us walk in, they smirked, but Mrs. Okami couldn't see them smirk, of course. "Sit down." she said seriously. We took a seat.

 "Ok, Prime and Yuro here said Sam punched Yuro to the ground for no apparent reason!" she said seriously, and upset. Sam gasped with eyes widened. He looked at me in fear and I looked at Mrs. Okami like she was crazy. "I was told you were a witness, Ellen, what happened?" I cleared my throat. "Mrs. Okami, Sam went to get our lunch for us to eat, but he was taking a while. I walked to the lockers, where our lunch was, and I saw Prime and Yuro making fun of him!" I sad seriously. Mrs. Okami looked at the two guys seriously. "It didn't stop there." I continued. "Prime told Yuro to shove Sam's head in the locker, so he did! Now, as you've said in previous lessons, hybrids have an evil side. Evil Sam decided to raise a fist. I decided to try to stop him, but he pushed me out the way, and he punched Yuro." I said, seriously, and confident she'd believe me. "Ellen, I know I can trust you, you've never shown one reason not to trust you in all the years I've taught you. Prime and Yuro!" She exclaimed the last part. They immediately turned their heads to her, eyes widened. "Detention, for the rest of the week!" she exclaimed. "WHAT?!" the screamed. She pointed to the Detention room and they groaned, and walked in. Sam hugged me, and I hugged him back. "It's ok, we'll get through school together." I told Sam, reminding him of his words he spoke yesterday. "Students, report to your first hour." Mrs. Okami said over the speaker. We walked to class.

~JASPER'S P.O.V.~

 I continued jumping through the tires. Winter tripped and fell in the mud. I ran back to her and helped her up. A guard came over to me and prepared his electric whip, but the captain came and stopped him. I helped Winter through out the rest of the obstacle course. "It's ok, only ten more hours.." I said to Winter, trying to make that sound like a positive thing. "I'm starving.." she admitted. "It's ok, we'll get some food tonight.." I said, trying to keep my voice down, so they wouldn't hear us and think we're lacking. We struggled to get through the rest of the course.

~ELLEN'S P.O.V.~

 "Ok, time to show off our projects!" Mrs. Okami said excitedly.

(AC- I'm only going to show the ten, not the entire classes' projects)

 "Blue?" Mrs. Okami called. Blue's eyes widened and she grabbed her paper. She walked to the front of the class. "Um, Taurtis, has always been there for me no matter what, he cheers me up when I'm sad, and he promised to always be there for me!" she said happily. Taurtis blushed deeply. "Aw, how cute!" Mrs. Okami said.

 "Brittany?" Mrs. Okami called. Brittany grabbed her paper and walked up to the front, no fear. "I drew J, because he cares for me and respects me, and always knows how to help me!" she said, smiling brightly. "Nice!" Mrs. Okami said. Brittany walked back to her seat, by J, and they held hands.

 "Caramel?" Mrs. Okami called. Caramel's eyes widened and she grabbed her paper and walked up. "Um, I drew G-Grian, because he's always been so nice to me, and understanding, and he's helped me whenever I need it." she said nervously, blushing. "So cute!" Mrs. Okami squealed. Caramel hurried to her seat by Grian.

 "Dom?" Mrs. Okami called. "Do I have to?" he groaned. "Yes, get your hat up here!" Mrs. Okami exclaimed. Dom grabbed his paper and walked up. "Um, I drew.. that girl over there, because.. reasons." he said quietly, embarrassed. Orchid giggled and Dom blushed. "Ok.. nice?" Mrs. Okami said. Dom sat back down next to Orchid.

 "Ellen?" Mrs. Okami called me. I grabbed my paper and walked to the front of the class. "I drew Sam, because he's always honest with me, always wants to make me feel better, and always is there for me, even when I try to push him away." I said blushing. Sam blushed and smiled. "Sweet!" Mrs. Okami said. I walked back to my seat and held hands with Sam.

 "Grian?" Mrs. Okami called. He grabbed his paper and walked up to the front. "I drew my bunny girl, because I want to make her happy, because she always makes me happy, and I want her to like me." he sweetly admitted. "How sweet, Grian!" Mrs. Okami squealed. Caramel blushed wildly and Grian smiled, and sat back down.

 "J?" Mrs. Okami called. He grabbed his paper and walked up. "I drew my spice, because she cares for me, and I want her to be happy, and I hope I make her happy, because I care for her!" he said, blushing wildly, but keeping his cool. "Aw, so cute!" Mrs. Okami squealed. He sat back down next to Brittany and she blushed crazily. They held hands lovingly.

 "Orchid?" Mrs. Okami called. Orchid grabbed her paper and walked calmly up to the front. "I drew Dom, because he's sweet even when he's upset, and he's understanding, even when no one is understanding to him." she said, blushing, staring into Dom's eyes. His face turned red, but he smiled. "So sweet!!" Mrs. Okami said, smiling wildly. She sat back down and Dom gently hugged her. "Awww!!" Mrs. Okami squealed. Dom immediately let go and stared to the front of the class.

 "Sam?" Mrs. Okami called. Sam looked at me nervously, and grabbed his paper and walked up. "I-I drew Ellen, because she always tries to help me, even when I'm mean, and she tries to make me feel better, even when I try to.. try to hurt her.." he said, staring into my eyes, looking like he wanted to cry. Mrs. Okami looked back and forth between us. "That's so sweet, Sam!" Mrs. Okami said, smiling. Sam came and sat down next to me. We smiled, staring into each other's eyes lovingly. We held hands.

 "Taurtis?" Mrs. Okami called. Taurtis grabbed his paper and walked up nervously. "I drew Blue, because she's always kind beyond belief, and I try to help her, because I care for her, but I feel like I don't do enough for her, because she does so much for me, and I get so n-nervous around her.." he admitted. "Wow, that's so cute!!" Mrs. Okami called. He blushed lightly and sat by Blue. They smiled at each other and held hands.

 "Well, now that everyone's done, pick up your homework as you leave class, and here's a work sheet!" Mrs. Okami said happily as she passed out a paper to each of us. We began working.

 After an hour, Mrs. Okami said, "Ok, leave your paper at my desk, pick up your homework sheet, and head to lunch!" We got up, put our paper at her desk, got our homework, and went to lunch.

~JASPER'S P.O.V.~

 Winter tripped again and fell into the mud. I grabbed her hand and dragged her through the rest of the tire jumping. "OK, ROCK CLIMB!" One of the bosses shouted as we approached a huge wall. I looked at Winter with worried eyes, and she wiped a tear. We began climbing up. "How.. m-much.. l-longer..?" Winter struggled to ask. I looked at my watch. "About eight hours.." I answered gloomily. She tried to hold in a sob, and we continued struggling to climb.
