Ross' POV
I stormed around the corner, not wanting her to see the hot tears that were filling my eyes. I didn't want Courtney to know that what she had done had gotten to me.
I nearly tripped over myself as I rounded the corner, noticing a familiar frame out of the corner of my eye. I stopped and turned towards her, where she stood, stuck in place.
"Laura? What are you doing here?" I said as calmly as I could, but there was still a lot of impatience in my tone, I could hear it myself.
She said nothing, her jaw was just dropped open.
I tapped my foot repeatedly, waiting for an answer. I tried to push the angry tears in my eyes back, which caused me to look down, away from Laura. I flinched as only a second later I felt her delicate hand resting upon my wrist, trying to comfort me. Chills traveled up my spine as she place another hand on my bicep, and resting her head on my shoulder, where she whispered sweet nothings into my ear.
How did she make me feel this way?
Laura was damn good at comforting, I could tell you that much.
After I took a couple more deep breaths, I felt her hands release off of me. I looked up to meet her soft chestnut gaze, which was like a beautiful chocolate galaxy. I could stare into her eyes forever . . .
"Y-You heard everything?" I whispered quietly, my voice cracking a bit as I thought back to the subject.
Laura said nothing, she just nodded and pulled me into a tight hug. Her hugs were so gentle, you so full of meaning and caring; I couldn't get enough of them, even though they had just started. I felt the tears start to go, and I knew Laura could feel them too because she buried her head into my shoulder and wrapped her arms tighter around my neck, so that she was standing on her tippy-toes.
She was such a charm.
