Ryan didn't think about how he was going to get out; he'd have to have his sister's assistance with escaping Gryffie-country.
Andy, are you awake?
Yes. Is he all right?
Well, he got out in one piece.
Ohhh good. Harry knows that his cloak is missing. I reckon we're in deep she-it now?
Damn. You're going to have to help me get out of here first thing in the morning. I'm under the window in the corner by the fireplace. Dunno how you're going to return his cloak to him.
I'll figure something out. Should we tell Mummy that we saw him?
Might as well. You know we can't keep anything from her for too long.
Yeah, you're right, I reckon.
She's going to be quite pissed off though when she finds out though--we were supposed to stay put. Best she hears it from us, he thought finally. Try to get some sleep and don't forget about me in the morning, kay?
I won't. Good night Rye--
Night, Kitten.
Ryan wondered what his sister had picked up on from their father. What he received was Sirius' plan to work Pettigrew over. He had intended on killing Pettigrew, but after having met his children, he was torn as to how to proceed. His eyes grew heavy and he found that he could no longer fight sleep. He was worried about his father, out of doors and on the run, with no safe place to hide and rest.
The Gryffindor common room was bustling with activity and Ryan found himself being stared at by a brown tabby cat. Her tail was swishing to and fro and her whiskers were splayed.
"Good morning, Auntie Em" Andromeda said uneasily. "Whatcha looking at?"
Minerva materialized immediately. "You know very well what I'm looking at Missy. Lets get him out of here before someone steps on him. Professor Sprout is absolutely beside herself with worry as is your great grandfather."
"And Mummy?"
"There was an incident last night and fortunately, she's been given a rather strong sleeping draught. So she isn't aware as of yet. But I can't imagine that she'd be very happy about this."
"I wouldn't bet on that," Ryan said quietly from beneath the cloak.
"Yes well, you would know," Minerva said a more than slight aggravation to her voice. "I can't even imagine what kind of disciplinary action I should take with you two," she said rolling her eyes as she shook her head. "We'll go to my office and I'll see that Harry's cloak is returned to him," she said finally.
Ryan rose slowly so as not to disturb the curtain. His body ached from having lain on the cold stone floor all night and he walked through the corridor between the aged professor and his sister so as not to get trampled on. Once behind closed doors in her office, the children saw Professor Sprout sitting in a chair next to Minerva's desk; she rose slowly at seeing them and approached them. Minerva yanked the cloak from Ryan and he winced; he didn't think he could get any colder. Andromeda removed her sweater and put it around his shoulders; it was terribly small on him, but he nodded his thanks.
"I can't even imagine what you two were thinking trying to assist him with causing harm to Harry!"
"He wasn't there to hurt Harry," Andromeda said raising her voice in protest. "He would never do that--he loves Harry!"
"Thank the gods you're alright, Ryan--I was so worried!" Professor Sprout removed her cloak and pulled him over to a chair and sat him down. "He's freezing Minerva!"
