1 Month Later.....

Marciello's P.O.V.

Belle was still losing a lot of weight. She looked about half of her size before.

I didn't know what to do and I just felt so helpless.

"Mr.Romani, your wife is about to go into surgery," the doctor said. I nodded and watched as they took her into the operating room.

If your wondering Belle miscarried, she was losing too much weight and the baby wasn't getting fed enough.

I could only hope that the cancer didn't spread too far and that they wouldn't need to remove both of her ovaries.

"They just put her into surgery?", Belle's dad asked as he walked up to me.

"Yeah," I said.

"This brings up a ton of memories. I remember being here with Tanya. Belle looks so much like her," Belle's dad, Benson, said.

"Did she die during surgery?", I asked him.

"Yeah, she lost too much blood," he said.

"I'm sorry for your loss," I told him.

"It's fine, it was years ago," he said.

We waited a few more hours and they told us Belle was out of surgery.

"Did everything go smoothly?", I asked.

"Yes, we were able to remove the tumor," the doctor said.

"Can we see her?", I asked.

"Of course," the doctor said.

"I'll come back later," Belle's dad said. I nodded and went into her room.

"I'll give you some privacy," the doctor said as he closed the door.

"Hey bebé," I said to Belle as I went over to her and stroked her forehead.

"Hey," she said weakly.

"You feeling okay?", I asked her.

"I feel like shit," she stated bluntly.

"I'm sorry, bebé. I wish you didn't have to go through this," I said, feeling tears start to pool in my eyes.

A knock sounded on the door and the doctor came in.

"Okay we staged the cancer and it was stage 1, which is good. We performed a unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, which means we just removed one ovary and one fallopian tube, so you are still able to get pregnant in the future if you desire to do so," he said.

We nodded.

"The cancer didn't spread, but we want you to consider doing chemotherapy so we can prevent it from coming back. The drugs we are using on you for the chemotherapy will not affect your fertility permanently, but it may stop it temporarily. We are thinking about just doing pills for you since it would be quick and easy. So will chemotherapy be something you are interested in?", the doctor asked

"Yes, I'll do it," Belle said.

"Good you can get your prescription at your local pharmacy, we will set it all up for you. You will stay here for at least 4 days so we can monitor your recovery. After that we suggest 4-6 weeks of bed rest and no sex during the course of those weeks either,'' he said.

"Okay thank you," Belle told him.

"No problem, I'll give you guys some privacy," the doctor said as he left out.
