"So where is this business trip?", I asked.
"I'm surprised you don't remember, it's in LA. You always said you wanted to go there," James said.
"This is a business trip right?", I asked.
"There will be business involved and hopefully a little pleasure," he said, touching my thigh.
"I don't think so. I'm a happily married woman," I said.
"Is your husband happy in your marriage?", James asked.
"Of course we're both very happy," I said.
"Hmm," James said.
"What do you mean, hmm?", I asked annoyed.
"It's just that I saw your husband with a little red head woman a few times,'' he said.
"I don't believe you," I said to him.
"Maybe this will convince you," he said, pulling out a pictures of Marciello and that bitch Rachel.
"I'll be back," I said. I went inside the bathroom.
I called Marciello and he picked up.
"Hey bebé," he said.
"I'm going to ask you a question and I want you to be honest with me," I said.
"What is it?", He asked.
"Have you been anywhere near Rachel ever since your incident together?", I asked.
"No," he said, simply.
"I know your lying to me. I've seen pictures. Just be honest with me!", I said.
"Fuck! Then yes I have Belle, I have," he said.
"Why? Have you been fucking?", I asked.
"I didn't fuck her. She just gave me head a few times," he said.
I felt tears rolling down my eyes.
"You can't be mad at me Belle. Like you said we weren't together," he said.
"You told me you weren't messing around with her," I said, simply.
"I didn't want you to get mad. I'm sorry," he said.
"I need some time," I said, hanging up the phone. He started calling my phone again and I turned it off.
I wiped the tears off my face and went back to sit in my seat.
"What did he say?", James asked.
"He confirmed what you said," I said, sucking in a sharp breath.
"I'm sorry. I just thought you should know," he told me.
"There's nothing to be sorry about. Thanks for letting me know, I doubt he would have," I said.
"Are you going to stay together with him?", James asked.
"I don't know, he's all I've ever really known. I've never had an actual relationship outside of him," I said, sadly.
The rest of the airplane ride was quiet.
We arrived in LA. It was so beautiful out here, but I was to depressed to even enjoy it.
"You want to stop at In & Out Burger?", He asked.
"I don't know. I'm not really in the mood to eat," I said, somberly.
"I think it might take your mind off things," he said, gently touching my shoulder.
"Okay," I replied quietly.
