Belle's P.O.V.
I really felt terrible, this was by far the worst pregnancy I have been through. I hope after my first trimester this sickness would be over.
Marciello came in the room and just looked at me.
"What do you want?", I asked him weakly.
A doctor came in and I noticed I was in a hospital.
"You feeling okay?", he asked.
"Not really, but it's just morning sickness," I said. I didn't understand why I was even brought here.
"I'm afraid it isn't just morning sickness. We needed to find out why you passed out so we ran some tests, blood tests to be exact, and you have cancer. I'm sorry," the doctor said.
"What kind of cancer?", I asked.
"Ovarian cancer. Do you have a history of cancer in your family?", he asked.
"Yeah my mother, she died from breast cancer when I was two," I said.
"I'm sorry to hear that, but we will work hard to make sure you don't have the same outcome. We don't know how advanced the cancer is so we will have to run some more tests. We don't do it here so we will transfer you to another medical center," the doctor said.
I nodded my head.
"Okay we set the appointment for 5 a.m. tomorrow morning, is that okay?", he asked.
"It's fine," Marciello told him.
"Okay, do you have any questions?", the doctor asked.
"Will she need to terminate the pregnancy?", Marciello asked him.
"We don't know. The specialist at the other medical center should let you know. It all depends on how aggressive the cancer is," the doctor said.
Marciello nodded.
"Do you have any other questions?", the doctor asked.
We shook our heads and the doctor left out.
"I'm sorry for being a dick towards you," Marciello said.
"It's okay," I said. I really didn't care about our issues before we had bigger problems. I had cancer, a disease that many people died from. A disease my mother died from, I hoped I wouldn't have the same fate.
"Stop thinking that. Your not going to die," Marciello said, reading my thoughts.
"You don't know that," I said.
"Stop thinking negative," Marciello said.
"I'm not thinking negative, I'm thinking realistically. People die from this all the time, who's to say I won't suffer the same fate," I said.
"D-Don't fucking say that Belle. Your going to live! I'm not going to let cancer take you away from me," Marciello said as he came over and held me tight. I felt some of his tears fall onto my face.
"We don't have a say in this. I don't want you to get your hopes up and there's a different outcome," I told him.
"Stop talking," he said as more tears rushed out of his eyes.
"I'm sorry," I told him.
"You did nothing wrong. I love you so much," he told me.
"I love you too," I told him softly.
