2 months later...
I smiled as they told us our divorce was finalized.
"Why are you smiling?", Marciello asked.
"I have my name back it's so cool," I said. I always thought Belle Marie was a pretty nice name. Belle Romani? Eh not so much.
"It won't be that way for long," he said, kissing me on the lips.
"Oh my god! I have the perfect idea for when we get married again," I said.
"What is it?", He asked.
"Why don't you take on my last name?", I said.
"Hell no," he said.
"Marciello Marie, that's cute," I said.
"It's not manly enough," he said.
We left out divorce court or whatever it was called.
"Why don't we go celebrate?," Marciello said, pulling me closer.
"How would we celebrate?", I asked.
"Why don't we go to cheesecake bistro and get some chicken and waffles. Then we can get some cheesecake," he said.
"Yeah let's do that," I said as we got in the car.
We drove to cheesecake bistro and the hostess seated us.
Marciello and I were in a really good place. Our relationship had improved so much, I just felt like we finally understood each other and became one with everything.
I didn't know when we were getting married again, but I found it nice to call him my boyfriend. I felt like I was in highschool again, minus all the abuse and sadness.
"I'm Trisha, I'll be your waiter today. What can I start you off with?", She asked.
"Well just have some crawfish eggrolls and 2 of the pornstar martinis," he said.
"Okay, I'll be back soon," she said, walking away.
"You just had to order that drink," I said, rolling my eyes.
"Yeah, it'll never get old," he said, laughing.
My phone rang and I picked it up.
"Hello?", I asked answering it.
"Hey this is Gambino's Bakery we just wanted to remind you of your cake pickup for 8:00 a.m tomorrow,'' they said.
"Oh okay, thanks for reminding me," I said.
"No problem," they said. I hung up the phone and put it back in my purse.
"Who was that?", Marciello asked.
"The bakery for the twin's cake," I said.
"The twin's cake?", He asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.
"Yes it's there birthday tomorrow," I said.
"Are you serious?", He asked.
"Yes Marciello, I've been telling you nonstop for 2 weeks now,'' I said to him.
"Damn time flies by. It seems like their first birthday was just a day ago,'' he said.
"Yeah, they're growing up fast. Marciano is going to be turning 6 in a couple of months,'' I said.
"Well we still have Dakota for 18 more years,'' he said.
"You're right,'' I said. The waitress came back with our food and drinks.
