I walked out the hotel room and tapped Marciello on his shoulder.
"Are you ready?", he asked smirking.
"No," I said shaking my head," I'm not going with you."
"Then I'll take the kids," he said.
"So you'll take our children away from the one person who cares for them the most. You barely want to take care of them when I'm at school and work. What do you think your going to do when I'm not there at all? Are you going to call my father, the one man that hurt me the most besides you?", I asked.
"Wow your father made you marry me, big deal. You should be glad he did that I've done so much for you," Marciello said.
"You don't understand the thing between me and my father. There is so much more that has happened between us way before I ever had to marry you," I told him as tears made their way down my face.
"How am I supposed to understand Belle? You never tell me anything, you were always the one who was so closed off in our relationship. You never let me love you and take care of you," Marciello said.
"Your definition of love is different from mine. Love to me is loving someone unconditionally, supporting them, bringing out the good in them, being there for them when they need you the most. You have shown me kindness, but the majority of our relationship has been you beating me or threatening me. That's not healthy Marciello," I said.
"I know I have done some things I'm not proud of, but you make it seem like there hasn't been any good in our relationship," Marciello said.
"There has been good moments Marciello and I've held onto them for so long, but they are not enough. There has been too much hurt in this relationship, this relationship is not healthy for me, you, or the kids," I told him.
"A child needs both of their parents," Marciello stated.
"I know that. I'm not trying to separate you from our babies. We can co-parent, but us being together isn't good. We work better alone," I said.
"Okay, but we need to co-parent in the same house," Marciello said.
"No, I want my own space," I said, shaking my head.
"Why are you so adamant on being away from me? Is there someone else?", Marciello demanded, gripping my arm.
"I think your forgetting that you had someone else not me. You should be happy I'm leaving you. Now you can finally be with Rachel," I said.
"It was a one time thing, she just came into my office out of nowhere an-
"It doesn't matter anymore, Marciello! What's done is done and what you did can't be changed. Just like you and me can't be fixed," I said.
"We can be fixed if we just get some counse-
"No counseling won't do anything. What we need is time apart. The only conversations we will have will be about the children," I said.
"That's how you want it?", Marciello asked.
''Yes," I said.
"Fine then," Marciello said as he turned and walked away.
