Chapter 24

-=- Maddie's POV -=-

It is a week after they "pranked" me, and I still haven't left my room, or opened my curtains. (I've left to go to the bathroom and stuff but other than that no) I haven't talked to any of the boys besides Rob. The girls are all worried, but I don't think I can talk to them either. They are really hover-ey if something happens. It's Annoying. I know it's not their fault, but I really can't see them right now. I decided to take my first step towards recovering, and I open my window. I take a deep breath and open it. The light hurts my eyes.

I see Sara, and another guy? Wait a minute. They are in our sideyard where no-one ever goes. But my window happens to look over it. Maybe it's just one of Sara's guy friends. Hm.

I look over and I see them making out. I'm second thought, I think Sara is cheating on preston, I call Preston.

~Phone convo~
P=Preston
M=Maddie

P: "M-Maddie? Y-you feeling well? Enough to talk to me?"

M: "Come upstairs now, keep it quiet though. Bring Rob if you wish. I-I'm sorry.." I whisper.

P: "for what?"

M: "Just come upstairs.." I respond.

~He hangs up~

I'm sorry Preston..

I hear a knock on my door.
I walk over and open it.

Preston sees me and gives me a big hug. I shiver, they still scare me. But I try and hug back.

"Preston. This isn't me calling you to make up. Come with me."

He looks sad but follows.

I motion him to my window. And I open it, and show him Sara and whoever that guy is.

He looks over at me and starts crying on my shoulder. Uh. What do I do.

So I start comforting him.
"It's gonna be alright. It's gonna be allllllright."

After about an hour Preston is feeling well enough to go downstairs. I decide that I need to show my face to the rest of them and try to make peace with them. Deep breath.

I slowly walk downstairs, and see Mitch, Vikk, and Rob at the bar. Rob notices me but says nothing.

I decide I want to have a bowl of cereal. Breathe.
They haven't noticed me yet. I grab my special mug and I look back at them, and I see Vikk glance up. His eyes fill with joy, and guilt. I've missed him, but they all scare me just a little bit still.

Vikk jumps up out of his seat and comes over and hugs me close. You can tell he hasn't eaten, nor slept. I shiver at his touch; like I did with the others.

Rob comes up and joins the hug. So does Mitch. These are my boys. I feel comfortable around them. These are my people.

A/n I'll finish the preston part later. I might go to the Caribbean this year (: and I might go to Monterey and meet one of my friends. He lives there. And I might go to El Paso, another one of my friends lives there!
