--A-hole Of A Brother --

"What did he do this time?" I asked, not entirely thrilled about the answer.

Anton Villarreal, in other words the asshole and troublemaker of the Villarreal clan. I wonder, what he did this time..It's been quite a while since I last heard from or of him. And when I say quite a while I mean 6 years. Oh..and did I mention he is the only sibling I've got?

"He shot Leo." Diego said suddenly, breaking my train of thoughts and leaving me in complete shock.

My brother shot my uncle.

How fucked up this one sentence really is. Leo and Anton were never on good terms but my brother shooting my uncle? This is just a whole new level of messed up.

"Why do you look so surprised? It's not like something happened out of ordinary. Isn't this a usual scene in your family?" Diego asked and to say, I was offended, would be an understatement.

"You have no right to say anything about my family!" I half-yelled, trying hard to control my temper which was swirling out of control. As if the news he broke to me wasn't enough, he has to pass snide remarks too. I wonder, why god hates me so much as to make me live with this man.

"Why not? This is usual thing, isn't it? Family shooting family." He shrugged, putting extra emphasis on his last statement. On top of that, he had the audacity to smirk. What a senseless, rude man!

"You have no right to say anything about my family," I stopped, why am I getting so emotional about it? Why am I getting so overwhelmed?

Don't you think, despite of everything he is just speaking out the ultimate truth?

My inner voice questioned. In reply to my inner voice I decided to throw a question at Diego.

"But how come you get to know about this?" I asked, because to be honest I have no need to be emotional here. Yes, I am shocked but that's it. My so-called uncle lost my respect the moment he pressed his gun against my head. As for my asshole of a brother, I never expected anything better from him.

In fact, I don't expect anything from any of my family.

"That's something which is directly connected to how amazing I am." He answered, grinning. I couldn't help but shake my head at his idiotic statement.

"How's unc-Leo?"

"Unfortunately," He sighed and my brain went to only one possibility, "alive." Diego finished his sentence. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his dramatic expressions.

"Where is he now?" I questioned.

"Why are you so curious about your dear uncle?" He asked and I frowned not having any definite answer.

"I just wanted to know.." I trailed off because of lack of reasoning. I am not sure if curiosity will be the correct reasoning for my well..curiosity.

"You don't want to know. Now, tell me how was your day?" I was quite taken aback with the sudden change of topic but welcomed it nonetheless because what other choices did I had? Null. None. Zilch.

"It was boring. Why can't you just let me get out or something?" I answered in a bored tone. It was such a tedious day, only god knows how I passed it in this big penthouse with pent up frustration and other emotions.

"I suppose, since your uncle is in hospital..probably for a very long time, you can go out," A smile started to make its way on my lips. Did I really heard him right? "but with bodyguards." He spoke and suddenly my smile vanished before it could even appear.
