--Kyla--

*Flashback*

"Kyla? Kyla!"  I heard his loud voice booming around the whole mansion.

"Kyla?!" I could sense some panic in his tone now.  He kept on screaming my name at the top of  his lungs. I suddenly heard the door opened and heard his hurried foot steps walking towards me.

"You're here!" He gasped, loudly.

"Yes, I am." I replied, and turned around in my revolving chair to look at this man, who kept calling me from the name I am not exactly indifferent to.

"Why weren't you replying? I got so worried." He sounded more relieved than before, but his face held clear signs of agitation.

"I never heard you calling my name." I replied, shrugging, again returning to the book I was reading earlier..

Jane Austen, you beauty. I am not exactly romantic but I am a Jane Austen fan. I personally think she should have written more novels. But oh well...

"I was screaming your name all over this place, dulzura." He frowned, closing his eyes into narrow slits.

"Really?" I asked, putting my bookmark on the page where poor Elinor is informed about Edward Ferrar's engagement. 'Sense and Sensibility' will have to wait, because this man in front of me will certainly not. What a shame.

"Really, Kyla." He replied, looking rather irritated with my aloofness.

"See? Kyla. I don't like this name, not at all." I said, now frowning myself.

He looked at me confused, like I just asked him the world's toughest question, "Why not? It's much better than Sky. Also, dulzura, it suits you. It means beautiful, what other word can ever describe you better?"

I could feel blush creeping onto my cheeks at a very quick pace, "There are many words, Smart, for instance." I said, after clearing my throat.

"Clearing your throat to hide your embarrassment, Kyla?" His tensed frown from few minutes ago was now transformed into a mischievous smile.

"Though I must say, yes, smart can be one word too but then so can be  bright, clever, elegant and the list can go on and on and on." He paused, "So, why not settle for something which can describe you the best? inside-out? Beautiful. Kyla." He said and gave me a dazzling smile, which made my heart skip a beat.

"Gosh..aren't you smooth?"  I was thoroughly embarrassed and flattered. It was nothing less than an honor to be complimented by someone like him.

Diego Osorio is one of the most sought-after bachelors of Spain, but it will not be so for too long because he is to get married soon...to me. And I don't think I could be more merrier or luckier. Who wouldn't fall for a man like him? Charming, successful, witty, smart..though a bit of crooked teeth but who cares for teeth when the rest of the package is so world class?

I may pretend to hate the name Kyla but the truth is just like the way I fell for him, I am in love with this name too because every time we argued about it and he calls me beautiful, I fall in love a bit more and my  heart flutters a whole lot.

*Present*

My head was not exactly throbbing or pounding like I had expected it to be, even my mouth felt pretty hydrated. I know for sure I fainted but I don't feel anything like I felt the last time I woke up from unconsciousness.
