I walked back into the living room with Thomas, chewing on a peice of gum after throwing up absolutely everything inside of myself. Everyone looked over at me, except for Dylan... I sighed at took a seat.
"Okay, so you all know now..." Thomas said, sitting next to me.
"You two really have a thing for timing, don't you," Brendon said. I just looked down. "Okay.. this complicates things... we need to make sure that the others don't find out because if they do, I can almost guarantee that the two of you are going to be at the top of the list... but, at the same time, this makes you our top priority. We need to make sure that you stay safe at absolutely all times." I looked back up at them. Sometimes after all the people we've all killed, I forget if we're the good guys or the bad guys, but when they show me all their morals and good intentions, I remember... we're definitely the good guys.
"I don't think we should all stay in one apartment building.. we need to split up, or else it's going to be crazy easy for Nicks team to come in and eliminate us all in one swoop," Robbie said. He and Urie had fallen right back into their leadership roles.
"Some of you can stay in the hideout. It was an old bomb shelter in an abandoned area of town, so the chances of them finding it are slim, and even if they do, it would be nearly impossible for them to break in," Dylan said, still not looking at me.
"Great. We should head there tonight and the rest meet there in the morning so we can get a plan and get all of this over and done with," Urie said standing up. "Do any of you work tomorrow?"
"I do," I replied.
"Lovely. Not anymore, you're going to call in sick."
"Okay..."
"Let's get moving."
"I'll drive you all to the hideout," Dylan volunteered, clearly wanting to leave.
"Right. Grant, you should stay here with Thomas and Caitlyn. It'd be better if there was a doctor near by."
"Yes sir, is that alright with you guys?" He asked.
"Yeah, fine..." I said, trying to process this all.
"I'll go make up the guest room. You can go up to Dylan's place and get your things," Thomas said as everyone walked off.
"What should I do? I want to help," I said.
"You get some rest. You need to keep the baby healthy and I can tell you're absolutely exhausted," Grant said.
"But, I want to help.."
"Doctor's orders, go on to bed, I'll be in in a few minutes," Thomas said. I sighed and walked back to the bedroom, closing the door and changing into my pajama pants and one of Thomas's t-shirts that was too big for me. I brushed through my matted hair and tied it up into a braid before laying down on the bed. Grant was right, I am exhausted... but I wanted to wait for Thomas... but before I knew it, I drifted off, falling fast asleep.
~~~~~
The sounds of birds chirping loudly was the first thing I heard as I woke up, the morning sunshine seeped through my eyelids. I opened my eyes slowly, seeing Thomas letting next to me, staring at be with his big brown eyes. He smiled at me sweetly and kissed my forehead.
"Good morning," he whispered. I smiled back at him.
"Good morning." He brushed a strand of hair from my face and wrapped his arms around me. In that moment, as he held me in his arms, I forgot entirely about all the shit we were going through... until there was a loud scream from the apartment across the hall... Thomas shot up and looked at me for a moment. She screamed again and he stood up quickly running across the hall. I stood up and followed, terrified of what it could possibly be. I peered out into the hallway seeing Thomas and Grant hunched over someone.
"W-what is it?" I asked, glancing over at Ava who was shaking. Dylan ran down the steps quickly.
"What happened?" He asked. "Who died?" Grant stepped out of the way and I looked back down. Laying there all bloodied up was the postman, with a note tied around his neck. Thomas kneeled down and picked up the red splotched peice if paper unfolding it wit a shakey breath. He closed his eyes and sighed.
"What does it say?" Grant asked, standing next to Ava.
"Just as a warning, don't try anything stupid. Maybe we'll allow some of you to live. Always remember no matter how far or how fast you run, we will find you... love Nick..." he read allowed. Ava sighed and hugged Grant.
"W-what are we supposed to do now?" Ava asked, shaking.
"We have to get rid of the body before someone else sees it. I'll pull my car around back and you two get him down to the back exit somehow. We've done this plenty of times before," Dylan said, still not looking at me as he started going off down the stairs.
"You two, go inside and lock both the front door and the balcony door. Make sure all the windows are closed and locked, and do not answer the door for anyone. Understand me? We'll be back as soon as we can, I promise," Thomas said. I just nod my head and looked down at the ground. "Go. I love you. Both of you." I just turned and Waleed into the apartment with Ava, doing as he instructed. I pulled out a gun once we finished, and sat down on the couch, staring at the door.
"We're going to be fine..." Ava said sitting next to me. "Right?"
"I don't know anymore," I whispered, looking down at my stomach. It was hard to believe that I was growing someone in there...
Suddenly there was a loud knock at the door. Ava stood up and slowly walked over as I cocked my gun. She looked out the peep hole and stepped back, looking like she just saw a ghost.
"What is it?" I whispered.
"Th-they're here," she replied stepping back. Another loud knock.
"Nick?"
"No... but the people who work for him..."
"Who?"
"The man that killed my parents..."
