Chapter 3

Everyone was excited when we were told that it was the day we were going to land on planet 10. Everyone had to get all there belongings into the eating hall, so it could be unloaded when we landed.

I went to my room, and finished putting all my things into bags or boxes. When I was done with mine I walked up to May, as she packed up her things.

"It isn't Earth, but we'll finally get to know a planet." I said to her, we both always wished we could go to Earth.

"I know, and I'm happy we're getting off this thing." She laughed a small laugh at the last part of her sentence.

"Yeah, but we haven't been on here as long as most of these other people."

"Yeah, it's been so long that there aren't a whole lot of people left on here that were even on Earth at some point."

"Yeah, but we can make the most out of this." I put my hand on her shoulder and looked her in the eyes. "We always do."

"I bet mom and dad would've loved to get off this thing and be on a planet."

"Yeah, but we can get off this thing so let's just be excited to do this, mom and dad would want us to do this."

"Ok."

We all had to stay in our rooms until we landed and then people would come through the hallways and give us the okay to leave. They started with the oldest people and then went down to the younger kids and let us all go onto the planet.

Everyone couldn't wait to be on this new planet. The younger kids were able to play and run around, and a lot of the older kids and teenagers were running around with them since there wasn't a lot of room to do so on the shuttles and as kids we never really got the chance.

My job on the shuttles along with May was to watch the younger kids. Now that we were off the shuttles, all the people that watched the kids had to do so now, so the kids were out of the way while the adults did more important things. While I was watching some kids, an older lady walked up to me.

"Hi Raley." she said.

"Hi, who are you?"

"My name is Ellen, and I think I know someone you would like to meet if you would just come with me."

I walked with her and she took me to the area where a different shuttle landed.

"Where are we going? We are supposed to stay by our shuttles."

"I want you to meet someone."

"Ok."

We kept walking until we got to the area where the orphans were. The orphans were kept separate from the other kids on every shuttle. She walked over to a girl and brought her over to me.

"This is Lillie, she is thirteen and she is your sister."

"What?"

"She was separated from your family and she ended up on the wrong space shuttle."

"Wow." That was all I could say, I had another sister and she looked a lot like me too. She had the same bright blue eyes, and she had a light-medium brown color hair like mine.

"I would like you and May to take care of her."

"What?"

"I know you already have Michael, but we are trying to get them all homes."

"Ok, I mean she is my sister."

We walked back to our area, and that was mostly it for the day. We were all pretty tired after the big day and we all went to bed.
