Chapter 14

I woke up and walked downstairs and Emmett was already awake and he was cooking something in the kitchen. I walked over and started helping.

"Hey." I said as I walked over and picked up a spatula for the fried vegetables we were making.

"You don't have to help you know."

"And good morning to you too."

"No, I meant that you can relax. I'm pretty sure you've been cooking for yourself since you got here, and now that Chase is here and he doesn't know how to cook anything-"

"Hey I heard that." Chase interrupted him as he came down the stairs.

"Well, was I lying?"

"Yes. I know how to cook."

"Really? Well why don't you finish cooking."

"Fine, I will." Chase said as he started walking towards the pan of vegetables.

"No, I've known you long enough to know that you can't cook, so why don't you just go make some milk." Emmett said as he moved Chase towards the door.

"You guys like to play around; don't you?"

"I guess, but Chase was kind of like my brother."

"Was?"

"Well, I was kind of like his brother. I didn't have any parents so I stayed with Chase and his parents all the time."

"So they like adopted you?"

"Not officially, but in a sense."

"So what happened between you and Chase?"

"Oh well nothing really, but we just started growing apart."

"How? ExYou guys seemed pretty close when you got here."

"Yeah, we still get along. We just started talking to other people and didn't talk as much."

"Oh ok."

"Yeah we will probably talk more now that we are both here. I would really like to get to know him again."

"Yeah, Chase seems pretty cool, I guess, once you get to know him."

Breakfast was done, and we all sat down to eat it. Once we were all done eating, we decided to finish Chase's house. We worked on his house, until it was cleaned up and started making furniture to put in it. It took a long time, but we finally got it done. With Emmett's help, it got done faster. We were going to make plans to fix Emmett a house, but he decided he wanted to live with Chase.

When we were done, we decided to go bowling. After we played a few games, we decided to have some dinner. After that we were all tired, and went to our houses. I kind of missed Chase and Emmett being around, but I'll still see them because we were planning on eating meals and doing just about everything else together.
