Chapter 15

Emmett had been on Earth with us for a while, and he was taking the whole thing a lot better than Chase when he got here. Emmett was really excited to be here and see everything, just like I was when I got here. There was so much here to see and it was such a great place. I wished May could have seen it. But I hoped that one day she would be one of the many ones to come here.

I looked around to see everything that was here, and I wondered how anyone could have ruined something that I'm sure was even more beautiful then.

I waited for Emmett and Chase to wake up, before I ate breakfast. They are usually the last ones up, but Chase sleeps in more than Emmett does. After waiting a while, I started cooking and Emmett came in shortly after.

"You're not eating without us are you?" Emmett asked.

"No, just getting started."

"Ok, well what can I help with?"

"You can cut the bananas in halves if you want."

"That's it?"

"Ok well I guess you can cut up strawberries and other fruit too."

"Ok."

He started cutting up the fruits and I finished cooking the breakfast as Chase came in.

"Hey, what's going on?"

"Just finished making breakfast, so make the table please and sit down."

He say down and I brought our food to the table. I sat down and Emmett brought the fruit and sat down next to me.

After eating, we walked outside and did some work with our gardens. We had a larger garden with a lot more fruit trees and all kinds of other plants. We got done pulling weeds and we went to play bowling. We were starting to run out of things to do, but we could probably make something else to do.

After we were done, we went back to our houses. After a while I wanted to make sure I got everything out of my rocket that I could use. When I got there, I noticed that Chase was in his rocket. I walked up to him and he looked really frustrated.

"Hey, what are you doing?" I asked as I walked behind him.

"Oh, nothing."

"Really? Because it looks like you're doing something."

"Ok, I was working on these stupid wires and any electronics I could salvage."

"Why?"

"I want to reach the people on planet Xoon."

"Why? Aren't you happy here?"

"I am!" He started in almost a shout. "But I just don't want everyone to think I am dead, and I want to see my family again." his voice got a little softer as he spoke.

"I want to see my family too, but I don't know what to do."

"You could help."

"I!" I paused. "I don't know how."

"I can teach you."

"No, I'm not that smart. You can just do this yourself."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I would probably just slow you down."

"Ok."

I walked out, and went to my house. I did a little bit of work around my house, and then it was starting to get late. I relaxed for most of the rest of the day, and then I went to bed.
