I woke up, and walked outside after eating breakfast. I started to walk to my house, when there was some kind of earthquake or something. I fell to the ground and then there was like a crash on the ground. After everything stopped, I sat up and looked back. I saw another rocket. I stood up and walked over to it, when the door opened.

I walked inside, and looked around. I walked towards the front of the rocket and saw a person laying in a chair. Out of nowhere he sat up and looked like he was in pain. He reached up to his ear and pulled out an earpiece that was ringing just like mine. I picked it up out of his hand and looked at it. After a second he just looked at me.

"You." He paused. "Are alive?"

"Yeah." I replied a little confused."

"Everyone thought you were dead when you didn't reply."

"Oh, well my earpiece broke." I paused and looked at his earpiece. "unfortunately yours did too." I threw it on the ground and he moved over to it and picked it up.

"Well, what are we supposed to do to contact everyone else?"

"We don't."

"What?" He sounded like he was starting to panic.

"We can't, nothing works."

"The technology must have stopped working when we entered Earths atmosphere."

"Ok, so we are both here now, and have no way to contact everyone else."

"Yeah, I wish I wasn't picked for the drawing."

"What do you mean? Earth is great."

"Is it worth everyone thinking I'm dead?"

"Well, everyone already thinks I'm dead."

"How old are you? Sixteen?"

"No, I'm seventeen now. I had a birthday while I was here."

"Ok, well I'm nineteen. I have a little sister and brother, that are only nine years old."

"Ok."

"How do you think they would feel, if they thought there big brother died?"

"Umm."

"And you have siblings right?"

"Yeah, but-" he cut me off.

"Well, right now they think you're dead, and what about your parents, they-"

"Are dead." I interrupted.

"Ok, well that's even more reason, do you want your siblings to go through another loss?"

"Of course I don't want them to, but what other choice do I have?"

"I don't know, but we can't just sit here doing nothing."

"Ok, while you figure out what we're gonna do, I'll go do something useful."

"Where are you going?"

"To my house, I'm working on survival otherwise we really will end up dead."

"Whatever." he said as he went back to work on the technology.

I walked over to my house and walked upstairs to make sure everything was done and ready for furniture. When I walked downstairs, that guy was there. I jumped, as I wasn't used to anyone else actually being on Earth.

"This is your house?" He asked once he saw me coming down the stairs.

"You followed me?" I asked.

"Maybe."

"Who are you anyway?"

"My name is Chase."

"Ok, now what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see where we live."

"Where we live? No I did the work on this house, I live here. You can live in your rocket."

"Ok, what's your problem?"

"You, you are my problem. I have the whole Earth to share with you and it's still not big enough."

"Me?"

"Yes, do you even realize how annoying you are?"

"What?"

"Well, back at the rocket, I was just trying to tell you the situation we were in and-"

"What? Because I want to let my family know that I'm not dead, that makes me annoying?"

"No, the fact that you won't accept that we can't get out of here. And of course I don't want my family to think I'm dead, I'm not some cold heartless person."

He gave a small chuckle, and started walking back to the rockets. I slid down and sat on the step I was standing on. Did I just do that? That got too out of hand. I would have to apologize, but I decided I would do it the next day, it was just too late to go after him then.
