Blasting music louder than a volcano erupting bursts my ear drums and we haven't even entered the party. Courtney nods at me right before we both enter the party. She walks to Daniel and I'm not so sure what to do. I don't want to go to him but I want to make it obvious that I made an appearance. I'll just look food even though I just ate.
Wow, Courtney was right. There's no food to be seen. Only red plastic cups so I'm guessing the only thing that's here is alcohol. What's it with my age group wanting to damage their liver?
"Hey Levi." An unfamiliar voice greets me.
I turn around to see two boys and a girl facing me. One of the boys called me, I realize who once he approaches me faster than the others. He has really dark brown hair, he has a fade I'm guessing but his hair isn't that short. His hair is pushed back into that old vintage hairstyle that's now trending but it's not that ugly hairstyle with gel. He's probably wearing hairspray.
"Oh hey." I mimic his tone in attempts to sound positive.
Instantly his tensed facial expression turns into a smile. That makes me ease as the tension is lifted. His friends are eyeing us suspiciously, please tell me this isn't a dare. The girl has dark purple hair faded into dark blue. So pretty. She has brown eyes with really long eye lashes, I think she's wearing mascara. Her bold nude lipstick compliments her fair skin tone. She's so pretty. The boy has dark blonde hair, it's up to his ears. He has that 'I go with the flow' look but looks can be deceiving. His eyes are a nice shade of green, lucky. Whereas, here I am with my boring dark brown natural hair eyeing them with my hazel eyes.
"How comes your friends are staring at us?" I whisper to him as if I'm revealing a secret.
This causes him to turn around to them while his cheeks turns light pink. "They think that I'm making moves on you." He whispers back.
"Oh," I let out a chuckle. "Greeting somebody is definitely making moves!" I say out loud sarcastically.
He laughs with me, trying to ignore that his friends are still staring. They're funny, I'm pretty sure if he was to make moves onto me, I'd at least know his name by now.
"I still don't know your name." I shrug.
"You haven't heard of me? You know I once got school cancelled."
"And how did you manage to do that?"
"You know, making the teachers believe that it was Sunday." He shrugs not daring to make eye contact with me.
"That's so believable." I slowly state in a sarcastic tone.
He touches his hair in defeat, "that's why I don't take drama." He raises his hands in surrender. "My name's Frank."
"Really?" Okay my tone sounded a bit too surprised than what I was expecting.
"Why?" He asks in confusion.
"You don't look like a Frank." I begin to burst into laughter.
When I think of Frank, I think of Timothy Goes To School. I can't help but laugh. Now whenever I talk to him I'm going to think he has a twin.
He catches my attention when he asks, "do you know a different Frank or something?"
"Yeah..." Um how do I say this? "From Timothy Goes To School." Ooh that's how.
He raises his eyebrows at me but soon begins to laugh. Moments later, I see a familiar purple/brown haired girl with a forced smile on her face.
"Sorry, I need to go." I walk past him. "Mads!" I shout her name, waving her towards me.
Madison looks at me as if I'm a stranger but she still approaches. I wave right in front of her to check if she's alright. A second later her forced smile turns into a real one as she hugs me, she's back into reality.
"Oh my God! You came to the party without me forcing you! I'm a good influence." She praises me as well as herself.
"Amazing influence! A party filled with alcohol, very amazing." I shoot her a concerned look but she ignores it.
"Alcohol! I need a shot or two." She tiptoes, raising her head high to look for something to drink.
"Woah I didn't expect you to be a party girl." I raise my eyebrows at her.
"Well, there's a lot you don't know Levi." She shoots a huge grin at me and wipes her half unbuttoned shirt.
She walks away to grab a drink as I head towards the door to leave. That was until he stopped me.
"What do you want?" I snap at Daniel.
"Leaving so early?" He smirks and looks at Madison. Then he takes a huge gulp of vodka.
"Pass me that." I snatch the bottle away from him and start to drink it. "You'd think a rich person would have the decency to buy expensive drinks."
He smiles at me. "It's a tradition to drink cheap alcohol from cheap plastic red cups that are destroying the environment."
All I do is nod at him. I could feel that same burning sensation spiralling in my neck, distracting me from my surroundings. I sigh. I've fallen into his trap. I'm not sure what exactly his trap was but it was definitely made to annoy me. Forget this. I don't need to destroy my liver.
I barge him to move him out of the way. I'm leaving.
As soon as I shut the door a moment of dizziness starts to take over. Before I know it, the only colour to be seen is black.
