When I look in the mirror I see this reflection stare back at me with their tired green pebbles. Behind this girl, a pile of books sit on her bed. Literally, there's a huge stack of books probably round half a metre tall on her bed. The realization of needing to study hits me, hard.
I open my windows and then jump onto my bed, staring at the amount of work that was sitting next to me while I slept. Maths, chemistry, biology and physics text books. I'm still wondering why I chose biology, I don't have any passion towards it but I don't want to give up. I really would like to study psychology though.
While I lay in my bed, I open a biology textbook but then it falls right on top of my face. Why does this always happen when I attempt to study?
I sit up whilst putting the textbook on my lap to push my pillow upwards but that's when I see it. There's a small piece of paper under my pillow. That's weird. A loud crumbling sound is made when I open up the folded note.
Meet me behind the library.
That's all it says. I've seen that handwriting before, I know it. With my curiosity taking over I decide to obey the order. After all, what's the worst scenario that can happen to me behind the library?
...
I wait behind the library, patiently sitting with my legs crossed on the ground. It's been ten minutes, I would leave but my curiosity refuses and I'm too lazy to move.
"Hey!" Suddenly a girl with straight, dark blonde hair approaches me cheerfully and then sits next to me.
She looks familiar, I feel like I've seen her before.
"Hey." I respond lacking the enthusiasm.
I've never seen her in my life.
"I know things, like how Mads and Mr Pepe are hooking up." She tells me secretively.
"Wh-What?" I quickly change my surprised expression into a disgusted one in attempts to paint on a façade.
"Yeah and how Daniel likes Mads and Abigail wears a wig."
I just laugh.
She continues, "Student and teacher relationship, poor Daniel."
I seriously don't care. This is so typical and boring. I admit that if I heard this a year ago then I would've found it juicy but it's just too cliché.
"I don't believe you and I don't really care." I state and then admit truthfully.
"I also know your secret." She whispers in a monotone.
"Good for you." I congratulate her with a lack of enthusiasm.
Honestly, I don't know what secret she's on about.
She widens her eyes at my response. "I'll keep a secret if you do all my homework."
I shake my head, "You're funny. Go on, expose my secret."
"Fine I lied. I really don't know. I wanted to ask you for help but I didn't know how to." She admits with guilt painted on her face.
"Help with what?" I ask in a bored expression.
"Maths, you was aceing all those questions, how do you do that?" Her voice filled with curiosity.
A smile appears on my face as I finally laugh. "Studying," I turn to look at her, "I'll help you."
A huge grin appears on her face while she hugs and thanks me.
Then she opens her mouth, "Can you do me one favour please?"
"I'm already doing you a favour!" I say in defence.
Her grin disappears right before she says, "Can you please tell Madison to back of Mr Pepe."
"Who says she's with him?" I challenge.
She makes eye contact with me. "I know okay and I know you know so lets stop pretending that you don't know!" She whines.
"Why do you want her to back of Mr Pepe?" I ask, ignoring her whines.
"He's my dad." She surrenders. Before I think of a response she interrupts me, "Please don't tell anybody. Just tell her to back off."
I nod my head soon regretting that I came here. Why do I have to clean up Madison's mess? That's what I get for minding her business.
"I think you should ask Frank out, you two look good together." She smiles at me. "My name's Alice nice to meet you Levi."
Without giving me the chance to respond, she's gone. Frank was the guy I met in Daniel's party. I knew I recognized her! She was one of Frank's friends staring at me.
Soon I get up to head to my next lesson, I slept through chemistry and attempted to study as well as met Alice during lunch. Time for my next lesson, biology. I hate it.
